The man had felt another contraction and Joel smiled, enjoying the way the man groaned and pushed with it, arching his back upwards slightly and giving Joel full view of his naked, sweaty, gigantic belly with 40-odd eggs in it.
Castiel and Dean just stared at one another for a moment before Dean felt a wave of excruciating agony pour through his veins and wings and before he could comprehend anything, he was screaming, the pain unbelievable. He could feel his muscles start to flail out of control as what felt like lava poured through them.
K.H.’s reply (female, demisexual, 18-25, USA) summarises the spirit of this aspect concisely: “I hate when a character’s personality is flipped on it’s head to fit the gendered roles of Alpha and Omega.”
The street was unnaturally packed today as Ikki Nomura walked through the crowd with a bag of groceries. Adjusting his glasses, he huffed and pushed his way through to see what was up with all the hustle and bustle that had suddenly stirred up in the town. It’s a lively town here but this is ridiculous. He thought with a snort.
I’ve been in a reading slump for weeks now and i’ve also been MIA in social media and pretty much everything else so I had no idea this book was released. Imagine by surprise when I saw it on amazon…so of course I bought it then berated myself for not paying more attention to my surroundings. ANYWAY…this book brought me out of my reading slump. I love Jax and Karter. In the first books I wasn’t a huge fan of Karter Jenks but in those books there was also some character growth. I wasn’t quite …more

A heat is the time when the Omega is most fertile and ready to mate, or just hide away until the heat is over. If they have an Alpha mate, they will never leave their side unless they need to get their Omega food or water. Mainly, they have sex and then rest. They keep a watchful eye over their Omega, listening to them and caring for them. But in bed, they still are the dominate ones. If an Omega has no mate, that could be dangerous to even leave the house. They could get raped and forced into all of this, even if they protest and try to run. So they basically lock themselves in a room and use many toys to get through this. A good part about this heat is that the Omega will self-lubricate, which means they only need to prep the Omega a bit more have sex. During these heats, the hormones in an Omega go all crazy. A strong scent is released during the heats, causing the Alphas to smell it and chase after the Omega. If there is already an Alpha with that Omega, they will fight the other Alphas off. Some public buildings have small rooms in their basements for any Omegas who suddenly fall into the heat and need help. In some verses, there are pills to stop the from happening and some verses have washes that help cover the scent up. There is a pad-like item for the male Omegas to help stop the leaking from the lubrication when they are in public.

An avid reader of het romance, her first foray into reading published m/m romance (slash fanfic doesn’t count) is thanks to a Dear Author review of K.A. Mitchell’s CHASING SMOKE. After devouring K.A.’s existing backlist, she dove headfirst into other authors. While she prefers contemporary, she’ll occasionally sample an historical or SFF m/m romance.
I love Omegaverse stories. Having discovered them quite by chance last year with the “The Country Omega” by Penelope Peters, I am always keen to read new authors in the genre because each approach their world-building differently – hierarchy, function/role, society expectations and even some being just all male – it’s exciting to read a variation to a theme. So, having also read Leta Blake’s “Slow Heat” (which is referenced in the opening of this book) I was eager to read this – the blurb was go …more
So I have only recently heard about Omegaverse stories, and my first thought was shifters right? Oh how wrong I was. While having a conversation with Marc and Dana, they informed me that while Omegaverse books have Alphas, Omegas and Betas sometimes, there is no shifting. Wait wait, no people shifting into animals? I was intrigued, so both Marc and Dana recommended an Omegaverse book they both loved I did get it but when I saw it had mpreg in it I put it on the back burner. Why you ask? Well I am not the biggest mpreg fan, they just are not the trope that I usually go for.

But that wasn’t the only reason I love this book. The secondary characters play such a major role, that without them, the book would be lacking something. It also feels like there are two different storylines going on that don’t compete with one another, yet weave together to make it whole. Getting close to the end of the book I wondered if maybe by the end, Tarek and Braun and some of the secondary characters story was far from over. And I am so happy to say that no, it wasn’t the final end, there is more to this series and as so as I was done with Saved I rushed to buy book two.
Jensen is difficult, Tapping had warned him. He took down three katil. Granted they’re not to your caliber, but who is? Be careful. Don’t get cocky. Jensen looks harmless, but he’s very resourceful. He won’t take a mile because an inch is all he needs. You understand?
One thing the Men of Letter seemed to like is live in luxury. The tub was big enough to fit five people (it made Dean wonder why they would need to be able to fit all those people in a tub.) and Dean was grateful for it at the moment because it meant that both he and Castiel could fit easier to help Sam with the birth of his, Christ our, child.
Emerging Secret (Mpreg) Chapter 1 Part 1 Jim sat at his desk quietly. He felt the baby move down under the edge of the desk; she was getting so big. He was getting so big. He was 8 and a half months along, but she had dropped a few weeks prior. It had been hard hiding such a noticeable secret, especially a secret that gets bigger as time goes by. Jim wriggled around at his desk subtly, trying to maneuver himself at the desk so his bulge wouldn’t be pressing against the edge of the wood. It didn’t help.
The Ragnarok takes a similar approach of Alpha/Beta/Omega AUs in her Inception fic The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized, in which Arthur is heir to the ruler and keeps his Omega status a secret, as Omegas are not believed to be capable of serving in the military or making political decisions. In this universe, both Omegas and Alphas go into heat, and Alphas are more capable of restraint than Betas when faced with an Omega in heat. Female and male Alphas can impregnate male Omegas, and male Omegas need medical treatment to conceive.
Dean gasped and ground his teeth so hard he swore they were going to crack apart. The little comfort he had disappeared when Castiel moved his hand. Dean let out a whimper from the loss but another hand suddenly filled the space and he didn’t care whose it was. He grasped the hand as tight as he could, trying to focus on that instead of the searing agony in his gut. He then felt something soft slide between his teeth and he knew it was wings but he didn’t care whose they were. He bit down as hard as he could, letting the grace soothe the pain slightly. He could feel the creature in him becoming distant from his soul, which was now starting to have a cold, empty feel to it.
