Thick sheets were hanging from the carved horns of the headboard, fluttering down in a nice canopy to the edge of the bed, where they had been expertly tied around the fancy golden posts, allowing just a slight peak inside the main belly of the nest. Jack squinted against the dim light, just barely able to make out a foot, clad in the blue stars and yellow stripes of one of Rhys’ signature socks. An amused grin spread across the alpha’s face as he tiptoed towards the nest, knowing well enough not to disturb what Rhys had no doubt meticulously put together over the course of an afternoon. He’d learned the first time that a pissy, pregnant omega whose nest had been carelessly treated was not something he wanted to deal with.
Tarek Bloom is an alpha constable who doesn’t believe in the way Omegas are treated. He doesn’t see them as inferior but he has yet to meet his omega mate – until the day he runs into Braun at a mutual friends apartment. He recognizes his mate right away but he has a long way to go to convince Braun that not all alphas are abusive toward their omega.
Good introduction to characters and plot. It also includes warnings such as alpha, beta and omega dynamics, heats, knotting and mpreg along with trigger warnings for physical, emotional and sexual abuse. They are in there so if those are triggers for you this might not be the book for you.
Great story of two unlikely people meeting in an elevator, and experiencing the undeniable attraction of the true mate call. Ezra, tiger shifter, a loner free spirit. Matt, an alpha bear, being forced into an unwanted mating. This is the first book in what looks like it could be an awesome new series. I can’t wait to read more of this unlikely couple in their world of extremely rare interspecies mating. I love it when diversity is explored and there are some very nice surprises for not only the readers but for Matt & Ezra as well. I really like being kept on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next. I really enjoyed travelling on the journey with this couple. Overall a very satisfying read.
“Simply put, mpreg. It’s not a squick for me, but I’m not crazy about it, and often short fics follow the cliché structure of they meet – they bond – they have sex – they have a baby. It’s a bit too Cinderella for me, too quick and not very satisfying, emotionally speaking. (…) Ah, and I’m also not sure I’m crazy about this trend I’ve seen around of calling the babies “pups” and such and using wolf/dog terminology. I see where it comes from, but I don’t really buy why a human omegaverse society would evolve like this.” (Lou, female, panromantic/grey-a, 18-25, France)
A nest is usually a place where an Omega can be comfortable, whether if he is in heat or just having a bad day. It can be a closet or a couch, a small room or a bed. It will usually be filled with soft things, the most smelling like his/her mate if they have one. It usually makes them feel comfortable in all times, even if they feel they are about to murder someone. With Omegas being the small fragile creatures they are, it can help them rest. As they get closer to their delivery date, they will most likely spend more and more time in their nest with their Alpha.
Jamie said. Jamie went into the room with the pool. He sat on the birthing ball until he felt another contraction, they were about 2 minutes apart and lasted about a minute long. When he felt one coming he decided to get down in a squat position, leaning agents the couch. He moaned, trying to not push. Jess came into the room with some towels. Jess checked Jamie again.
Groaning aloud, he panted once the pain subsided and allowed him to catch his breath. The mass in both his vagina and anus had moved down a little more thankfully, but not much. Wondering if maybe he could feel it with a finger, he reached between his legs and groaned while he inserted a finger inside himself.
Fast forward. It took me a WHILE to get into this story. I think it was because I didn’t like Jason’s character before he got caught by the Mercy Hills pack. I got that they were on the run and he wasn’t exactly emotionally or physically stable, but the reason I didn’t like him was his POV narrative. How do you make being chased by men who want to hurt you and kill your father boring? I couldn’t get into the story because the part that should have been tense and exhilarating left me yawning. And wtf was up with the decision making in this book?
At twenty-eight, James Warrington, only son and heir to Warrington Ltd—a billion-dollar dynasty of oil-freighters—feels like his life’s course is set. But in order to take over the leadership, he needs to be a proven Alpha: mated and sire to the next Warrington leader.
Eren let out another pain moan, he couldn’t leave him like this. Watching more fluid spill from his mates arse, it seemed like Eren’s opening bulged slightly outwards. This was all moving too fast. Letting out a grunt, the omega seemed to be cumming and Levi didn’t understand how that was possible
As the latest pain eased from her body, Greta loosened her grip on her husband’s hand and leaned against his chest. It had already been over seven hours since she’d gone into labor and she was ready for it to be over with as soon as possible. Her body and the merbabe it held seemed to have other plans though, as neither seemed willing to end this.

Scratch that, it was the perfect time to socialize: a lazy Saturday morning with cotton candy clouds and drowsy orange sunlight. The two were out shopping for Arthur’s insistent cravings. Alfred had wanted it to remain just the two of them, relishing every second of their time together before the inevitable addition to their little family, but they’d managed to draw in quite the crowd upon their entrance to the store.
