Zuri Primrose hasn’t been on a date since her divorce over a year ago. About to turn the big 4-0, she’s living the life of a hermit without any sex. Her mother isn’t going to let her daughter stay single for long. She’s gotten Zuri an invite to a shifter ball where she hopes Zuri will find the man who’s going to screw her into a pretzel and give her a dozen babies. Zuri’s sure her mom didn’t expect for a shifter to up and toss her over his shoulder and run out. Nope. Mom so did not see that coming.
The back rubbing helped to ease the pain tremendously. Spy instantly became more relaxed and calm. The same couldn’t be said for Sniper however. He was practically shitting himself. Several times he’d asked to stop to call Medic, which Spy always yelled no to and threatened to kill the Aussie very slowly and painfully several times over if he ever did.
I rejected my father’s idea of what it meant to be Alpha — what it meant to be royalty. I lost my crown and homeland, and live in exile for plotting against my father’s machinations. I regret nothing. That isn’t true. My regrets haunt me every day. My sacrifice saved lives, and was worth it all….
I can’t say enough good things about this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it in a way that I rarely get to experience with omegaverse / mpreg books. (Please note that omegaverse / mpreg is my favorite trope, so I do truly love the storytelling aspect of this sub genre. This book simply stands above many others in the category.) The level of complexity and uncertainty about how the story would resolve really had me on the edge of my seat the entire book. I was tense and nervous but it made every sweet moment so much more meaningful. I am not sure if that was how it was written or if that was just my experience but it really made my heart happy to read how the relationship between Ellis and Reece evolved.
My biggest wish with series is that I’d like for the titles to tie into the actual story more than they do. Yes; they are shifters so there is a measure of claws, fangs, fur, etc. involved. And yes; the alphas and omegas form soul bonds, whilte also practicing some light bondage (at least from what’s been described so far). But fangs didn’t have much of any significance in Rian and Taryn’s mating, and claws had a similar non-impact in Cory and Carrow’s relationship, so why was this book titled “”Bound by the Claw””?
The man rubbed his bulging stomach and panted, trying to birth this egg before the next one came. He cried out as a particularly strong contraction came and he pushed. Joel spread his legs wide apart and looked between the legs and saw not one – but two eggs wedged inside the man’s hole.
The Winchester’s lives are altered in a way they never saw coming after Sam goes to a friend’s house to work on a school project. This is an mpreg story, Sam is fifteen, almost sixteen and Dean is twenty. Enjoy!
Practicing the Same Religion by Geoviki. Mpreg is a common Harry Potter trope. “Classic Harry/Draco Mpreg. It’s the fic that everyone says, ‘I don’t usually like/read Mpreg BUT… loved this story!'” (2005)
NYPD Detective Alec MacAidan has always been good with weird. After all, his life has been a string of the unexplainable. But when an injured man gives him cryptic clues, then turns to dust in front of him, Alec’s view on weird is changed forever. Cronin, a vampire Elder, has spent the last 1,000 years waiting for Alec. He’d been told his fated one would be a man wielding a shield, but he didn’t expect him to be human, and he certainly didn’t expect that shield to be a police badge.
I did some research since it thoroughly confused me. What I found was this reply to an anon question by johnlocktentacles: “I guess the biggest problem for me, personally, is that there are a lot of folks out there who just loooove to read and write omegaverse fics, but won’t give fics with trans characters the time of day, and that’s shitty. If you go search for johnlock omegaverse fics, you’ll find plenty of reading options, but if you search for johnlock fics where one or both of them is trans, you get a tiny fraction of the number of results. to me, what that says is that people want to fetishize characteristics of certain trans people without actually acknowledging that trans people exist. People would rather invent an entirely new fictional gender structure than have trans characters.”
Technically, the two protagonists were brothers, so people interested in “brocest” will see a theme that touches on that type of pairing. In reality, if that idea squeaks one out too much, the “genetic brothers” theme is really not central (and the story would not read very differently if they were simply two Alpha best friends who formerly had only formed a deep emotional and sexual but not permanently mated bond.)
Rhys hummed as he stretched, clumsily setting aside the plushie so he could pull Jack closer, frowning when he couldn’t get his mate closer. Rhys looked down at his abdomen through bleary eyes, frowning.
He scooted in as close as he could to Rhys with the young omega’s swollen belly, draping a heavy arm about the young man’s upper body as he quietly nuzzled and scented along Rhys’ forehead, smiling at the soft brush of Rhys’ unkempt hair against his nose. He kept close to the omega, enjoying the quiet moment, until he felt Rhys starting to shift and wake in his arms. He tucked his chin to his chest, looking at his omega with a gentle smile as Rhys’ slowly stirred, blinking his eyes up at the alpha.
Is the world really falling apart? Is the ideal of progress obsolete? In this elegant assessment of the human condition in the third millennium, cognitive scientist and public intellectual Steven Pinker urges us to step back from the gory headlines and prophecies of doom, which play to our psychological biases. Instead, follow the data: Pinker shows that life, health, prosperity, safety, peace, knowledge, and happiness are on the rise, not just in the West but worldwide.
It doesn’t help that… he’s completely and utterly alone, with only quick and easy online hook-ups for company. But what would he do if he met somebody that he couldn’t discard after a few sexy camera chats?
I had some problems with the way that Derrick reacted in this book. Why would he assume that Rowan was a hardened criminal in the beginning of the book when they both were in the same jail cell and Rowan says that he was tresspassing. It was like Derrick considered that akin to a battery charge. Then, when Rowan explains how he’s been taking on extra delivery jobs for his boss that may have been morally questionable, but weren’t clearly illegal, Derrick again takes it so hard that he wonders if he can trust someone so prone to breaking the law. WHO DOES THAT?! Why wouldn’t Derrick give Rowan the benefit of the doubt immediately that he was being used, and not assume that he was betraying Derrick?
Naruto, a young omega that is now an ANBU invites two males, Kakashi and Akatora, to chase him down and ‘play’ with him during his heat, but he ends up with more then he asked for; he gets a whole ninja harem in need of attention.
One of the teenagers took steps toward me. He lifted my sweatshirt to expose my belly. I was afraid that he might do something. I took steps back until I hit the wall. Now I was leaning against the wall nowhere to go.
“Sam, I have to check—Sam? How, How far along…? You’re with child?” Dean did a mental double take, thinking he had heard wrong. A child, Sam, what? Of all the things he thought that was wrong with Sam, pregnancy wasn’t even on that list. Dean suddenly felt jealousy flare through his body, up his spine and spilling out of his mouth.
“One egg for each berry you eat. How many did you eat, anyway?” Joel asked, ignoring the question about how big the eggs were while exploring the growing belly with his hands. He saw a button pop from the man’s shirt and he removed the shirt as well.
He couldn’t stop crying, but Eren gave another pained whimper and Levi was forced to lay the tiny boy down so he could turn his attention back to his mate. It was kind of shocking to see the damage birth had done, but Eren was still on his hands and keeps. Feeling ever so slightly more confident, he ran his hand against Eren’s leg
