“Samuel, good morning. And yes I guess I’m a bit excited. Last night, I thought about what you said, and decided that you are right. There are no rules that say that I have to stay with the alpha once I’ve conceived. So I decided to follow you advice and I’m going to start looking for a ‘donor’ right away.” Castiel left the kitchen with the same smile on his face, and missed the growing look of horror in Sam’s face.
He scooted in as close as he could to Rhys with the young omega’s swollen belly, draping a heavy arm about the young man’s upper body as he quietly nuzzled and scented along Rhys’ forehead, smiling at the soft brush of Rhys’ unkempt hair against his nose. He kept close to the omega, enjoying the quiet moment, until he felt Rhys starting to shift and wake in his arms. He tucked his chin to his chest, looking at his omega with a gentle smile as Rhys’ slowly stirred, blinking his eyes up at the alpha.
Saved is the first book in A.M. Arthur’s new Breaking Free series. I have been eagerly awaiting this book and it definitely did not disappoint. I enjoy an omegaverse story and I have really liked much of Arthur’s other work, so this seemed like a perfect match.
I absolutely Loved Aaron and Indigo’s story. Odin writes stories you can immerse yourself in. Aaron and Indigo meet through the Omega Date app. Indigo has been hurt by love before and reluctantly goes on the app hoping for a deeper connection. Aaron uses the app more for casual hook ups and doesn’t really believe in happily ever after. Their reasons for using the dating app aren’t the only differences between them. Indigo believes in the afterlife, spirits, ghosts and fate. Aaron is a skeptic and believes either that the psychics are at worst frauds cheating people out of their money or at best misguided or looney. He doesn’t believe in fate. When Aaron is sent to Indigo’s town to investigate the paranormal happenings and debunk them, he is surprised to find that Indigo is the son of the psychic. Can two people with vastly different views on the world around them find a way to be together? Will Aaron be the one who can help Indigo get over his past? Will Indigo be the one to make Aaron believe? Charmed Fates is about finding a way to be accepting of others differences and supporting someone unconditionally. With steamy sexy times and a wonderful story I totally recommend this book! I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of Charmed Fates.
“Lance…! Lance! LANCE!” Keith was screaming as he rode Lance harder and harder. From the way he was yelling and the look of absolute bliss on his face, Lance guessed he was starting to really feel his heat from Lance’s cock. That made Lance more confident as he slammed his hips up to the best of his ability each time Keith sent his body crashing down against me.
Ernt Allbright, a former POW, comes home from the Vietnam war a changed and volatile man. When he loses yet another job, he makes an impulsive decision: He will move his family north, to Alaska, where they will live off the grid in America’s last true frontier.
What a great read. The book takes you on a journey of emotions and surprises that keeps you focused on the main characters of the book. Dallas is kind and sweet and after a horrible attack in the park by a big ‘dog’ knows something is wrong. Roman’s wolf has gone nuts by attacking and now he must try and fix it. The book is well written and follows Dallas as he is forced to come to terms with what happened to him and how to coexist with his new wolf. Roman must teach him to survive, to do what he must to prove himself. Dallas just wants to go back home. Amazing writing with such discriptions and feelings that it brings you in and you feel the struggle of both Roman and Dallas as they fall in love and want so much to have a future together. The book also bring a end that bring the book full circle. I will be reading more books by this author.
He’d been woken up for the third time that night. Groaning, he dragged himself out of bed, then dragged his feet over to the crib where his daughter lay. He was now regretting making the decision to keep her.
“(…) I also like the changes in power dynamics in pairings and how characters sometimes can be written as accepting of them and sometimes resist them. I mostly read Omegaverse in the Sherlock fandom and either Sherlock John (both very strong, dominant characters) resisting the social and sometimes the physical stereotypes of the Omega is one of my favorite type of story.” (Ishtar, female, straight, 50+, USA)
Parts of this story were difficult to read. Braun hasn’t had it easy, his father was cruel and resentful that his two offspring were Omegas and not Alphas. His older brother was mated off to an Alpha who was even more cruel than their father. After their father dies in a car accident, Braun is sent a halfway house for unmated Omegas.
