Next up I have a re-release of Guarding My Heart. It’s about a rich kid who has had his heart broken and the bodyguard who comes to watch over him when there are some threats against him. It’s fascinating to me how differently I write now. I’ve added a ton of new words and completely changed the ending of the book to give the readers MORE!!! That was one criticism of the book originally, that it ended too abruptly. I did that a lot more when I was a new author.
It’s almost as much of a miracle when Cas gets him to sit up against a pile that consists of every single pillow they could find in the bunker, but when Cas reaches for the stretchy jeans (Dean’s the use of the word “maternity”) haphazardly thrown onto the edge of the bed, Dean just groans even more, burying himself into Cas’ shoulder and hefting whatever body part he physically can over his husband.
One of the teenagers took steps toward me. He lifted my sweatshirt to expose my belly. I was afraid that he might do something. I took steps back until I hit the wall. Now I was leaning against the wall nowhere to go.
Founder of the lifestyle website TheChicSite.com and CEO of her own media company, Chic Media, Rachel Hollis has created an online fan base of hundreds of thousands of fans by sharing tips for living a better life while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own. Now comes her highly anticipated first book featuring her signature combination of honesty, humor, and direct, no-nonsense advice. Each chapter of Girl, Wash Your Face begins with a specific lie Hollis once believed that left her feeling overwhelmed, unworthy, or ready to give up.
Some will see this dynamic as a stereotypical reproduction of male/female gender roles, with the man as the earner and the female as the carer. Another perspective might be one to view an Alpha’s caring nature and their more sensitive side as “new masculinity” as opposed to ‘tough’, ‘unfeeling’ men from the past. I have read fics that have Alphas struggle with society’s expectations of them as emotionally stoic and macho, with Omegas valuing their mate because he is “not like the other Alphas/like the stereotypical Alpha”. I’ve also read stories in which the Omega finds themselves appreciating ‘classic’ Alpha trades – which is often explained by their biological wiring.
Gabriel shrugged, “I have no idea…but they are two of the most glorious celestial beings I have ever seen,” he said truthfully, “Their lights are just so…” he shook his head, “I wish you could see them.”
Initially not wanting to settle down, James meets Stewart; devastatingly good-looking, charming and aloof, Stewart is everything James never knew he wanted—except that he seems to have something against James and everything he stands for.
A similar premise was used in Life from the Ashes in X-Files fandom in the 1990s. In that story, a virus biologically changes half of the male population into breeding partners who emit sex pheromones. Social differentiation between the biologically determined groups is not explicit, although by the end of the story, it is implied.
The High Tide Series by stardust_made – A rich arse of a bloke tries to woo a clueless John and Sherlock just about loses his mind I LOVE JEALOUS SHERLOCK (The first story is rated T but the other two are E so…) (my fave)
This book was really intense! The plot completely drew me in, and the characters made it even better. I love the way Derrick and Rowan met for the first time. I enjoyed reading this one, especially because of the amount of shifter lore in it.

Fatigue pulls at the corners of his eyes, and he stifles a yawn against the back of his hand as the elevator creeps it’s way steadily up towards his apartment. He blinks wearily at the little yellow numbers, watching them slowly increase.
