“Mpreg Belly Fancy Knotting”

When Chad Stone and Josh Bennett last crossed paths, both had been on the fast track to fame. Josh — Chad’s best friend Ashley’s scorching hot older brother — was on his way to football stardom, while Chad was about to embark on a musical career after being accepted to one of the most prestigious music conservatories in America.

The concept of male pregnancy has been the subject of popular films, generally as a comedic device. The 1978 comedy film Rabbit Test stars Billy Crystal as a young man who inexplicably becomes pregnant instead of his female sex partner. The 1990 BBC television comedy drama Frankenstein’s Baby features a Dr. Eva Frankenstein helping a male patient to become the world’s first pregnant man.[29] The 1994 science fiction comedy/drama Junior stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a fertility researcher who experiments on himself; the screenplay was inspired by a 1985 article in Omni magazine.[9]

Summary: Ferris was overdue, and even in the ocean’s water he felt as heavy as he looked. For the new parent, his entire pregnancy had been a new experience; however it meant he wasn’t ready for the labor and birth.

That’s not always the case, of course, yet several respondents complained that it does happen. Here are two more quotes on how the genre affects the depiction of characters, both from the Sherlock fandom:

Alphas and Omegas often are slaves to their biology. Sometimes there is actual slavery inside a fic’s world, with Omegas usually occupying the lowest social strata, which some of my respondents love as a trope and other hate with a passion.

Harry awoke when a sharp stabbing pain engulfed his middle. His belly tightened and held, then suddenly relaxed. Looking at the time, he saw that it was only 2:00 in the morning. He timed his contractions, and they were about twenty minutes apart. After four hours of this, the contractions were six minutes apart, and Harry decided it would be prudent to wake Draco and send him to get Madame Pomfrey.

Castiel held his hands in place for a moment, not even caring that Gabriel was holding Dean’s hand or that Michael was letting him drink his grace. Castiel had to focus on the child. He took a deep breath when he felt something move into his hands. He knew at once that it was the child.

Grell sits under the dead oak tree,Crying,His long red hair in a tangled mess against his tear soaked cheeks. He plucks petals one by one off a dead flower before his head snaps up in alarm when he hears Ciel screaming for him. Grell runs towards Ciel’s voice and nearly knocks over Ciel as they nearly run smack into each other.

Five years earlier and he’d been stripping despite being pregnant with triplets at the time, (And learned he was actually having quads when he gave birth) and after dating a chief of detectives for a while, he’d been targeted by the Italian mafia. However, he didn’t know anything, and he’d gone into labor while interrogated.

Omg, for a prompt I would absolutely love more Sterek mpreg and angst, but with a happy ending! I love your mpreg fics and you do angst so very well and your writing is just amazing in general! Like, all of your work is just awesome!

I love this series but this was the best one yet. It’s absolutely impossible not to fall in love with Karter and Jax. Karter’s transformation is wonderful and it made my heart so happy to seem him become a good alpha. This story is a tear jerker and I found myself needing tissues throughout it… But it was so worth those emotions. Such an amazing omegaverse story. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

Down with this Ship by FrostedFlame (PinkOrchid) – Sherlock takes John to a gay bar expecting him to be uncomfortable but BAM John the Raging Bisexual comes out to play and shocks the fuck out of the detective.

Writers who build a story around mpreg knows they’re writing about a man getting pregnant. They are aware of the gender differences. But isn’t that the reason we read fiction and fantasy? Isn’t it also the point? We all read fiction for one reason to read about a world that doesn’t and would never exist.  Male pregnancy is fun to right. It’s fun to build a large world where a man can get pregnant naturally

Spy pressed the mask to his face and the gas and air was turned on. He breathed in the nitrous oxide, taking quick deep breaths. But he still felt the same amount of pain, if not more so than he did before.

I’m sure a lot of fanfic readers empathise with her sentiment. Male pregnancy used to be my one major squick, and only when one of my favourite authors wrote the trope did I begin to warm up to it (still not something I seek out, though, even though kid fics are my guilty pleasure).

Biology has gone actually insane. The Alpha/Beta/Omega system works in a similar way to dog packs (it’s said this trope grew out of werewolf!AUs). Alphas (especially Alpha males) have enormous cocks capable of knotting; Omegas (including male omegas) have a heat cycle that is based on their ability to conceive. Omegas’, er, orifices are self-lubricating, especially while they’re in heat. Pheremones fly around like mad, and there is a lot of scenting, marking and gallons and gallons of bodily fluids.

Heard is the third book in A.M. Arthur’s enjoyable omegaverse series Breaking Free. While the first two books are more directly linked as they follow brothers Braun and Kell, along with Kell’s trial for murdering his alpha, this one brings in a side character in Karter. We met Karter in the first books as a constable on the edges of the case against Kell. He starts off the series very conservative and with very clear ideas about omega roles, but being part of tha …more

Some argue that stories that reproduce inequality in gender and heteronormativity prove that a trope is not subversive, or rather a step back. For example, Berit Åström analyses mpreg in Supernatural and concludes that mpreg mostly leads to conventional stories in an unconventional universe. She shows that the pregnant male is frequently given ‘female’ traits and the stories usually end in heteronormative, monogamous bliss and a nuclear family (birth parent, second parent, child/children).

I love A.M. Arthur books and so when I saw this new direction for her (Omegaverse) it was a no brainer. I knew I’d be a buyer. She is a great writer with characters that the reader connects with. The romance is usually there, and the sexy times are hot. And this book has those things. You will really love the alpha, Tarek. His beta best friends are great. Omega Braun, while braver than you’d expect an omega to be, makes some really stupid decisions but you will still be pulling for him.

He was so persistent and his tenacity annoyed her. He was so clever and his innovation annoyed her. He wore his emotions on his face so openly and that annoyed her. But what annoyed her more than anything was how much she noticed him. A series of short vignettes about Astrid and Hiccup. HTTYD2 spoilers.

When the lonely city boy and aspiring Alpha meet on OmegaDate, their connection is immediate and all-consuming. But Rocco can’t tell Kade exactly what he’s looking for without putting fatal pressure on their blossoming relationship—especially since Kade has made it clear that he would never dream of leaving his life in the city. And when sparks from Rocco’s past relationship ignite that powder-keg, there’s no way it won’t explode.

They took it slow, not wanting to exhaust Sam more. Sam was shuffling around and hunched over while Dean held him around his waist with Cas beside them making sure Sam wouldn’t fall. They walked around for close to half an hour before Sam begged to be put in the tub again. Castiel had gone ahead so he could warm the water again.
