A truly wretched book. Everything seemed designed to annoy me from the fact that there were zero women in the universe to the unlikable main characters and cutesy made up terms like “alphahole” and “omegin.”

Rubbing his stomach still, he swam over to some coral reefs and eased himself down to catch his breath. Swimming for long periods of time just wasn’t something he could do now that he had been able to do before thanks to his full womb. I bet she’s hiding somewhere and giggling at me. He pouted while he looked around himself.

Rocco is the next in line to be the alpha of his pack when the story starts, he is in a relationship with Skye but there is no love between them and he gets tired of it. He calls the relationship quits but Skye doesn’t take it well. Once Rocco’s father passes, he needs to find a mate in order to be fully accepted as Alpha, especially because another pack member is more than ready to challenge him for the position. After talking with his sister Luna about it, he decides to give OmegaDate a chance.

He went over to the cot to look at his daughter. He stroked the top of her head. She wriggled slightly at the touch. Sniper then proceeded to pick her up to hold her in his arms. She looked up at him with her sea blue eyes. The assassin couldn’t help but grin.

It’s a dark and stormy night when Ciel awakes from his slumber. He yawns, groggily before draping his legs over the side of the bed, slowly pushing himself up,his hand on his heavily pregnant stomach to steady himself. He sighs deeply as he rubs his stomach,He smiles slightly as he feels kicking beneath his hand. He giggles a bit before waddling to the door. Half way there,He stops with a sudden pain in his belly,He rubs the sore place gently before speaking,

Writers who build a story around mpreg knows they’re writing about a man getting pregnant. They are aware of the gender differences. But isn’t that the reason we read fiction and fantasy? Isn’t it also the point? We all read fiction for one reason to read about a world that doesn’t and would never exist.  Male pregnancy is fun to right. It’s fun to build a large world where a man can get pregnant naturally

So there you have it.  This is why we like MPREG.  There are about as many reasons to like it as there are MPREG fics to read, so if you don’t see your reason for enjoying the subgenre above, feel free to comment below!  Let your voice be heard.  Shake off the shame of reading something ‘weird,’ embrace that a lot of people out here enjoy this obscure thing that you also enjoy, and tell us why you like the thing!  Why do YOU read MPREG?

“I did try to appreciate it, I made a point of reading a couple fics from different fandoms for a while. But. The problem I have with Omegaverse is the, as I like to call it, ‘biological inevitability’. A/B/O has always left me with a bad taste in my mouth because I feel as if there is no choice in it, no free will. It’s all biology. I kinda feel the same about the whole soulmates trope. Love, for me, is choice, every day. I have to choose to love someone and to let that love influence who I am as a person. The moment biology steps in and dictates not only a character’s sex life but also their place in society based on their sexuality, the whole concept becomes abhorrent to me. Sorry.” (Lena, female, demisexual/biromantic, 18-25, Germany)

Roaming Free is a great addition to the OmegaDate Diaries series by Odin Nightshade. I loved Tarly and Roam. The story had lots of feels and started out by making me cry. However, I was so happy that Tarly and Roam were able to connect and with Roam’s support he was able to try therapy again for his condition, and with some new medications, he was better able to live a more normal life instead of the reclusive one he had been living. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

In this A/B/O universe, there are no shifters. There are no females. There are Alphas who are in charge, Betas who are barren but are allowed to hold jobs and adopt children (usually Beta and Omega children), and Omegas who are the lowest of the low and whose sole purpose, it seems, is to be mated to Alphas and be good little breeders.

What is the nature of space and time? How do we fit within the universe? How does the universe fit within us? There’s no better guide through these mind-expanding questions than acclaimed astrophysicist and best-selling author Neil deGrasse Tyson. But today, few of us have time to contemplate the cosmos. So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.

So essentially, cis men are used instead of trans men, which is fetishistic, but even when trans men are used, it’s nearly always fetishistic in how the characters and narrative are handled. […] In reality, mpreg doesn’t explicitly claim to be related to trans (or intersex) people, but it cannot be viewed outside of that context in a world where trans and intersex people are also displaced from our bodies and our realities by cis dyadic people, in a world where our body parts are literally objectified and fetishized and removed from our humanity. I literally don’t give a crap what anyone’s intent is, that’s the reality of it, that’s representation that harms trans and intersex people, and if people fail to realize that, then they’re harming trans and intersex people, categorically.[6]

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It’s the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

They took it slow, not wanting to exhaust Sam more. Sam was shuffling around and hunched over while Dean held him around his waist with Cas beside them making sure Sam wouldn’t fall. They walked around for close to half an hour before Sam begged to be put in the tub again. Castiel had gone ahead so he could warm the water again.

In this world, there are three classifications (all men)…alpha, beta, and omegas. They are not true shifters as they don’t shift into animals. Omegas are the lowest of the classes…basically incubators for the children. They have zero rights or identities. They’re basically slaves.

“Sam?” Castiel had laid Sam on the floor, he put his trench coat under Sam’s head as a make shift pillow. Then he started ripping Sam’s jeans off, then his boxer; Dean didn’t care about someone else seeing Sam naked, really.
