What was up with the pov change? I get it. First person restricts the world building and story telling, but if you have a story where things need to be explained and actions are happening simultaneously you need third pov. And honestly it wasn’t all that necessary. The world building wasn’t extensive here. She writes Macs pov in restricted third so she might as well have just wrote it in first. The pov change was jarring and unnecessary to the story in my opinion. Which brings me to my next question:
When Mac captures the feral shifter that climbed the walls surrounding the Mercy Hills Pack enclave, he feels for the young shifter’s fear, though he knows his Alpha isn’t the sort of shifter Jason believes he is. He’d be happy to see the two mated, except that, as time goes by, it becomes more and more difficult to deny his own feelings for the young, damaged omega.
I really enjoyed and loved reading this wonderful book it was so lovely written. I loved the relationship between Nitro and Peter. I loved that they got their happy ending and their happy little family at the end too. I loved the twists and turns and the edge of the seat action too. I loved everything about this lovely book. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too. 👏
His long-buried feelings return to the surface when he encounters Ellis again, and the circumstances under which they meet are far from rosy and pleasant. Reece wants is to show and prove Ellis that he’s not the same selfcenterd Alpha he used to be, but Ellis’ defenses are like an iron fortress and its walls are higher than the “Great Wall of China”. Reece feels helpless and is sure there’s no hope of breaking down those walls he helped build.
The ice rink was empty this time of night, except for one lone young man standing on the edge and staring at the cold ice making up the ice rink’s floor. His thoughts were swirling and his eyes betrayed his worry to any that would happen upon him. He was expecting someone special to arrive any time, but it wasn’t for what the other thought.
night when they would kiss and plot Snoke’s demise together. He remembers it all, their five years together and all the plans they had for the future, together. But he’d thrown that all away when he’d denied the call of the Dark, when he’d refused to kill his own father back on Starkiller base. Ben stands and stare at Hux for a little while. Hux stares right back at him. He doesn’t have his little smirk on his face, the one he only reserved for Kylo. His face his blank, his eyes tired.

This was a good read. Braun Etting is an Omega who was raised by a cruel father who abused him. His older brother Kell mated a cruel alpha who abuses him daily, and Braun is terrified of that seemingly inevitable future. When Braun’s father dies in a car crash, leaving Braun an orphan, he’s sent to a halfway house for omegas. But on his fourth night there, he witnesses a horrifying crime that sends him fleeing to the streets alone and edging into his first heat. Tarek Bloom is an twenty-eight year-old unmated alpha. When he walks into his friend Dex house he meets Braun. Dex and his husband rescued Braun from the streets. Tarek feels the mating bond for Braun immediately and he’s pretty sure that he feels it. Braun hates alphas as a general rule, and no way is he giving in to the bond. This a good read this was my first time reading this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Braun is a rarity….a 20 year old omega who hasn’t gone into his first heat and is still unmated. He’s terrified of mating. His alpha father and his brother’s alpha are both incredibly cruel men and he can’t ever see trusting someone like that to hold his life. But then he meets Tarek.
“I like the idea of a twisted reality where society is still fixated on gender but the skew is different, i.e. it’s not as much women that are repressed but omegas. it’s interesting to explore the themes of gender bias and prejudice using a totally fictional universe and it’s easy to relate to a lot of the injustices that omegas face and also fun to play with those themes.” (erin, female, pansexual, 18-25, UK)
Summary: For the first time in his life, Levi is at a complete loss on what to do in a situation he can’t control. Luckily, Eren knows a thing or two because he, unlike his Captain, paid attention during Sex Ed.
Fast forward. It took me a WHILE to get into this story. I think it was because I didn’t like Jason’s character before he got caught by the Mercy Hills pack. I got that they were on the run and he wasn’t exactly emotionally or physically stable, but the reason I didn’t like him was his POV narrative. How do you make being chased by men who want to hurt you and kill your father boring? I couldn’t get into the story because the part that should have been tense and exhilarating left me yawning. And wtf was up with the decision making in this book?
Saved is my first venture into an omegaverse story where mpreg wasn’t the result of the paranormal. I’ve always been a fan of alpha/beta/omega dynamics, but primarily in a paranormal setting so this story was new territory for me. Regardless if this is your first time reading this type of story or not, one thing you’ll want to be aware of from the start—this is the first book in a series, and there is not full resolution at the end of the story. BUT…the author does an excellent job of drawing yo …more
Is it ever possible to rip happiness from disaster?Jude Now I’m out of the military, I want a quiet life. A nearby forest where my wolf can run and hunt, and a wood-shop where I can work with the timber I feel an affinity for. I definitely don’t want a mate. And if I did, it wouldn&…
Rhys hummed as he stretched, clumsily setting aside the plushie so he could pull Jack closer, frowning when he couldn’t get his mate closer. Rhys looked down at his abdomen through bleary eyes, frowning.
*blush* I know it’s been a long time. That’s why I’ve put my Gazette fics here on lj on hold…so I can get my chapter 9 for Wolves up on FF.net. I’ve got at least 14pgs? written so far and yet have not even begun to fit everything I wanted to into this chpt. So, I guess I’m going to just reach a stopping place, or if I’m really evil, a good cliffhanger and post it. Then everyone will have to wait another span of time for the rest of it, I guess. Please be patient. I’ll try to get something posted soon. >^.^< ''Grell..I need to squat..Help..Help me..Please!'' Right when his water broke, a deep and heavy pressure pushed against his anus. "The baby. It's coming!" The pressure comes lower and burns his opening. He shakes from the pain. His pants had to be taken off but he couldn't move. He tried to push and see if the pain would go away. He pushed and felt his opening spread wider and wider. "Ah! It burns! Vicky!" Obviously this is completely false. I finished this story in about an hour so I'd say it was under 100 pages. Now I realize the page length on any blurb is up to Amazon getting it right but who's at fault here, especially when it holds another story. Nothing in the blurb about another story following this one, but I wanted to finish what wasn't written about Rocco and Kade. I wondered if Kade was now shifting and being more familiar with his wolf. I also wondered what Rocco did in his spare time besides fix up the house and care for the dogs. Is he a house husband? There's no mention of schooling, training, or what he'll do outside his pack structure. I pictured Kade working himself to the bone with a job and heavy volunteer work and Rocco sitting around. And I never understood why a pack wolf would fight for leadership when it wasn't Rocco's to give. That whole thing came off as a vendetta against Rocco and I kept expecting this defeated wolf to pop up and harass Kade. So yes, the story was short and unfulfilling. It was okay, I wanted more. 3 stars. - Dan's Wife [redirect url='http://bawlby.com/bump' sec='999']
