This is a good start to a new series by A.M. Arthur, taking place in an alternate or future time, the world in Saved consists of only men who fall into one of three genders, Alpha, Beta or Omega. The United States is now divided into separately ruled provinces with new laws and rules. Alphas rule, Betas are able to work and live their lives and Omegas have no rights, existing solely to bear the children of the Alphas. Alpha children are coveted and Beta or Omega c …more
“[Omegaverse] squicked me out. It seems a bit non-con to me in places and I’m really really uncomfortable with huge power dynamics in romantic relationships.” (Torin, female, lesbian, 18-25, Isle of Man)
“These are going to help you give birth faster. It’ll be a lot more painful, but it’ll make the eggs come out quickly. Do you want it?” Joel presented the tablets to the laboring man who was in the midst of a strong contraction.
As soon as Naruto understood that both men accepted his invitation, he rose slowly and placed his fox mask back over his face, moving his body in tempting movements, and Akatora answered it by lowering his mask back in place as well. Kakashi had already put his book away in his pocket.
He groaned as his finger felt a smooth, hard surface. An egg! He could feel the tip, it was definitely an egg. He groaned and pulled his finger back, gripping some rocks now. He bore down and spread his legs as he did, groaning as the egg moved down his anus further. It was far slower than his baby’s progress though.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, but sometimes the brightest days are born of the darkest nights. Soon enough these two last-chancers cross paths, but will their secrets destroy any hope they have left? Either way, it’s much too late to walk away.
“If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you.” – Winnie the Pooh. Four friends endure a struggle for survival that will test their friendship and change their lives forever. Angst/whumpage for all. Minor Language.
That’s not always the case, of course, yet several respondents complained that it does happen. Here are two more quotes on how the genre affects the depiction of characters, both from the Sherlock fandom:
Gabriel shrugged, “I have no idea…but they are two of the most glorious celestial beings I have ever seen,” he said truthfully, “Their lights are just so…” he shook his head, “I wish you could see them.”
Braun is an unmated Omega in a world of Alphas, Betas and Omegas. Omegas are the lowest of the lowest, and it is totally alright to abuse an omega, since they’re worth nothing in the society A.M. Arthur created.
A mostly quiet birthHer nurses’ uniform had grown tight over the last nine months, but somehow she’d managed to squeeze her girth into the white dress. She stood at the emergency room counter, watching as a woman about her size was wheeled in, hissing and panting. It was obvious the woman was in labour, her partner panicking beyond belief as he followed along beside her.
“[MPREG] shows the more maternal nurturing side of male characters that often goes understated or ignored due to societal norms. Forces male protagonist to be careful and protective of themselves. Often it can help them bond better with female characters, see things from their perspective.” -Anja

The Semantics of Crop Circle Formation: a case study by Sherlock Holmes [unpublished] by canolacrush – John and Sherlock are investigating a weird extraterrestrial-like case but for once, John knows more about it than Sherlock does wink wink read it! (my fave) (this needs heaps more love wtf!!!)

Sherlock and John get along fine, but Sherlock refuses to marry and breed. Mummy decides that John should marry and breed with Mycroft if Sherlock doesn’t want to. Sherlock is not happy at all. Thus, a p0rny, case-ficky, dark comedy.
Why did Jason GO BACK to the house after he killed that guy? Oh yes, I’m being chased by men who want to take me back to the place I hate the most. Let me just go back to the place where I KNOW they know I’ve lived to pack up the car. Brilliant.
“Yes, good…” Joel murmured, watching the large egg stick out and he wrapped a hand around the tip of it, tugging at it experimentally. This prompted a scream from the man birthing the eggs and he let go of the egg.
Where do I start with this book? It starts out as though it’s going to be a run of the mill, demon based, paranormal romance, and that would have been OK, but half way through it ‘shifts’, pardon the pun, and becomes a lot more complex. The plot expands to encompass science fiction, conspiracy theory, slavery and world domination for starters.
“What, you dying? Looks like I won’t have to do anything little brother. Or maybe your period decided to show up, what with all the blood on the jeans.” Castiel glared at him and Dean threw a cocky smile towards the angel. Cas turned his attention to Sam and tried to pry Sam’s fingers apart; they were right on top of his stomach. Sam was panting and sweating now, his whole face red, the bloody liquid drying on his jeans.
I shrieked from what was in front of my eyes. There were dead people in my house. As I slowly tried to go near one of them to see who they were, I saw a man with a chainsaw in front of my huge sliding window door.

Dean gasped and shot up on the couch as the vibrations poured through him. He was instantaneously awake as his eyes set on the small, green eyed child in Castiel’s arms. His heart skipped a beat when he noticed the human body, “Is that…”
