He had never been ill before, and he hoped never to feel it again. His magic was right there on the surface, though. Does illness make it stronger? He was used to calling it forth, but now, Alvarr didn’t have to reach for it at all.
I highly enjoy shifter romances, so I was eager to read this book which centers around Lance and Ewan. The world building was great, and the characters were well detailed, although, I didn’t like Lance too much until the end of the story. Some things were glossed over, but that’s okay, I just wish that the two main characters would have truly communicated better. It’s a fast paced tale (which I do like), with a happy ending, and no cliffhangers. =)
This is a stand alone gay romance novel, 118,000 words, with a strong happy ending, as well as a well-crafted, non-shifter omegaverse, with alphas, betas, omegas, male pregnancy, heat, and knotting. Content warning for pregnancy loss and aftermath.
It is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media – as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents – the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter – but is he really a killer?
Finally, if you aren’t a fanfic reader, you might not be familiar with the “tone” designations. Both fluff and hurt/comfort made the top 10. The former is a story that’s focused on cheerful, happy topics; the latter involves one of the characters in your favorite ship being hurt, and the other comforting them. This situation sometimes, but not always, leads to sex.
His senses was on hyper alert, and a smirk was dancing all over his face as he ran into the thick woods surrounding the headquarters. He had no doubt that no matter who caught him, he would be sore tomorrow, and he looked forward to it.
Dean felt terror as he couldn’t move his body and inch. He could vaguely see through the sheet of blue grace that covered his eyes. The angels were holding him down but it was taking too long. The baby needed out and fast. He panted, holding back his screams as he felt Castiel’s warm thumb rub soothingly over his cheekbone. He let out a shaken breath as he felt the cool hand start to slide into his stomach.
She’d gotten dressed and waddled down to the kitchen to begin her baking. At least now, she knew she could have breakfast ready before the children woke up. She knew she was in for a long labour because of her body’s physical shape so she didn’t want to waste any time. Clive ran in before she was done, “Oh, did I wake you?” Alexis asked her eldest son, of almost 11. He nodded and sat down groggily. “Well, breakfast will be ready soon. Why don’t you go wake up your brothers and sisters?” He groaned and got back up again slumping back down the hall to go get them. It was about 20 minutes late before all 7 of her children that were able to walk had sat down at the table. “I didn’t want to wake up Tommy.” Clive told

“I just don’t know what is going on with me”, he confessed to her one day. “I feel hungry all of the time. If I continue to eat like I did in the last month, soon none of my pants will fit me anymore.” He said that last sentence almost as a joke, but she quite liked the thought of going shopping with him, for he would have grown out of his clothes.
He could feel the movement of the babies inside, which made a smile creep it’s way onto his face. Each time he felt their movement inside his distended belly, it made everything worth it; he’d soon be a father. He turned his body so his stomach was now above himself while he swam, and he rubbed the orb while admiring it’s growth.
Yoongi did properly court him, he bought him expensive gifts which Jimin against.
