My fandom, coming through with the Omegaverse smut one shot that’s like, #2 in the entire fandom on kudos haha. It’s pretty hot. Lots of epithets and explicit language, I think it’s a sin. It’s called, apropriately: Just Awful. lol linkao3(2769194)
Or at least they didn’t in Dallas Summer’s world – until a nasty encounter in Central Park shatters that notion forever. Dallas finds his life flipped upside down when a sexy stranger knocks on his door.
Fatigue pulls at the corners of his eyes, and he stifles a yawn against the back of his hand as the elevator creeps it’s way steadily up towards his apartment. He blinks wearily at the little numbers, watching them slowly increase.
Michael frowned when the little bundle of light reached out to Lucifer, who had a smug look on his face as he gently took the child from Michael’s unwilling arms. He let out a smile as he held the warmth close, “You’re gonna’ be a troublemaker. I can sense that,” he said in an almost crooning voice.
He felt guilty for not able to give his whole heart and love to Janie. He convinced himself that he hadn’t imprinted on Ellis. But when his wife died in childbirth, Reece withdrew into himself and focused all his energy into being the a single parent to his daughter, Anika.
their baby hits the sixth month mark when Kylo begins to feel it, a dark presence around both the baby’s mind and Hux’s, to the point where Kylo can’t even wake Hux up some nights when the darkness is thick and their air is cold
Adam felt his stomach hating that he could feel each of the eggs underneath his skin, before noticing some were tiny and others big. Wanting to ask again Adam had to know the answer, “How big…do …they get???”
PART 2: ‘Life is full of obstacles. Sometimes it’s better to face them dead on than to run away. At least, that’s what I think, now.’ Kames slash! Contains smut and Mpreg. For EvilGeniusBookWorm13! COMPLETE
My heart breaks for Jason and all he had to endure at the hands of his old pack. His parents saw what they were going to do to him, break him. Omegas have no status in their old pack and no choices. His parents run away with him. Jason takes it upon himself to find a place for him and his father. Mac captures a young shifter and sees the fear and terror in Jason’s eyes. He tries with all he has to deny his attraction to Jason. I enjoyed the book and rated it low because of a twist at the end. The twist was great but there was no resolution to said twist. Adding a few more paragraphs to address it would have made a huge difference in the story.
AU. Sequel to Carrier of Darkness. Logan was sure it was over, but it’s only just begun. His son is changing and the demon’s are aware of it all. But with the help of the angel’s can Logan defeat the demon’s once again?
He moaned while he pushed, putting his chin down onto his chest as he bore down hard to birth them. They were coming down so slowly at the same time. Spreading his legs a little further, he grunted and gasped then bore down again, groaning and yelling in pain as he pushed the egg and his baby out.
Carrow’s empathy and concern for his former packmates was admirable. He had escaped his former pack in order to avoid being coerced into abusing an omega; instead he wanted to protect & cherish the omega that he was mated to. Once he got to Black River though, and found Cory, he saw that he could also help rescue his former packmates to help them find the freedom and happiness that he had found. He didn’t have to do this, and I found that his integrity and hopefulness was inspiring.
He gingerly crawled underneath the soft overhang of sheets, finding his omega sleepily burrowed into the soft folds of the blankets he had gathered. Jack recognized towels from the bathroom as well as a couple of the baby blankets and plush toys they had bought snuggled around Rhys’ body. One of Jack’s customary sweaters was stretched to its limit around the omega’s abdomen, the fabric riding up the underside of his belly and revealing a wide crescent of creamy white skin and pink stretch marks. Rhys’ long legs were pulled up as much as they could, clad in silky, stretchy blue shorts and of course, the socks. The omega had his arms around one of the large honeybee plushes they had bought for their child, his nose buried in the soft, honey-scented yellow fur.
Another respondent who pointed towards a certain ambiguity in their dislike for A/B/O is Abby (female, bisexual, 18-25, UK). She criticises “the societal sexism towards Omegas or the internalised sexism. Feels too much like homophobia and sexism rolled into one, which I just can’t stand.” Yet she continues: “It’s funny because I actually enjoy the societal sexism in PWP fics. Like, as a kink that is role-play or just PWP that you can interpret as role-play, I enjoy it (not the internalised homophobia/sexism though – like I mentioned earlier, it’s a complete no-no for me) but having an au where the society treats Omegas as second-class citizens feels too much like an interpretation of our current society and I read fanfic to escape it.”
Side note to consider: Romance novels featuring strong, heroic knights to the rescue of damsels in distress have also been called misogynistic. However, it’s important to note that erotic literature expresses fantasies, not a person’s political views. The things that arouse us – or not – aren’t logical or follow socio-political discourses. Thus, a reader can oppose unfair gender dynamics and at the same time appreciate “Alpha to the rescue” type Omegaverse plots.
Smiling to himself, he wondered where his mate had gone off to. Being as slowed down as he was with his heavy stomach, he hadn’t been able to catch up to the mermaid and she had swam ahead of him earlier in the day.
