First, at birth, the doctors will announce the gender(male or female). In some verses, you can pay to have a test done to determine whether the baby is an Alpha, Beta, or Omega. In others, you just have to wait until they are about 12-24 years old to find this out. So in a way, you have two genders. The male/female gender and the Alpha,Beta,Omega gender.
Roaming Free is a great addition to the OmegaDate Diaries series by Odin Nightshade. I loved Tarly and Roam. The story had lots of feels and started out by making me cry. However, I was so happy that Tarly and Roam were able to connect and with Roam’s support he was able to try therapy again for his condition, and with some new medications, he was better able to live a more normal life instead of the reclusive one he had been living. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
When his alpha father found out, all hell broke loose. Threatened with the loss of his inheritance, I knew he would choose me over riches. But I couldn’t allow that. I didn’t deserve him. So, I did the only thing I could think of:
Dean knew it was going to hurt and he didn’t want to hurt the child. He turned his eyes to the other archangels in the room for help and all three of them instantly straightened out to take the child.
Niso nodded as he held the baby up and was grabbing one of the towels he’d brought from the bathroom, cleaning it off. “It’s out Francis, it’s out.” He said, looking up at the younger male. “Is that…is that all of them?” Niso asked meekly, swallowing a lump in his throat. He doubted Francis was up for another birth. He laid the baby once it was cleaned and wrapped up with it’s siblings, looking over the little babies before he turned his attention back on Francis again. “Oh, thank goodness.” Francis hung his head and grunted tiredly. His fingers trailed over his newly deflated stomach and pressed just above his pubic bone, feeling for any hardness. “I-I think so.” When Francis found none he shook his head. A soft sigh escaped his mouth as he crawled over to Niso and laid his head in his lap, hands reaching out to clutch at the older male’s shirt. After a few seconds, the young man broke down, sobbing quietly. He was utterly exhausted, his body physically spent of energy.
At twenty-three years old, Omega Brion has still yet to experience his first heat. Brion has always admired the Alpha of his pack – from a respectable distance, of course. After all, how could a lowly Omega such as him ever even dream of an Alpha like Jasper? But when Brion’s first heat suddenly hits him in the middle of the spring festival preparations, there is only man to relieve his agony…
‘Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit’ was all that was running through Sniper’s head. This could not be happening. He was only vaguely aware of Spy staring at him. When the contraction ended, Spy straightened himself up with a hand to his back. He turned to the assassin.
Omega Cory can’t wait to marry an Alpha and indulge in the pleasures of the soul bond. There’s just one problem—there are no eligible Alphas. When an Alpha comes running to Black River’s territory, claiming to be a refugee, Cory doesn’t know if he can trust him—but he does think he’s sexy.

Ellis doesn’t fit the omega mold, at least not anymore. He’s become a short tempered man and doesn’t fit in with other omegas. He was a shy, nerdy kid in his formative years, who couldn’t blend in with the crowd, which made him an easy target to be bullied not only by the alphas but also by the omegas. He did everything in his power to get through high school in one piece. But he couldn’t be invincible no matter how hard he tried.

I’m most interested in stories that explore compelling, thought-provoking implications of such a six-gendered world. I’m not opposed to reading smut, but smut for its own sake isn’t particularly interesting to me.
After being exiled for his pack for loving the Packmaster’s son, Alpha wolf shifter Matthias returns only to find his love Bree shunned when his Omega nature is evident. Young, true love is lost but found again in the cold of the winter snow and the overwhelming mating heat. Overall, while the underlying plot was sweet, the writing and the story were not very compelling. Fans of explicit Alpha/Omega wolf shifter attraction, lust and love and their overwhelming drive to connect during the mating heat may find this to be a sizzling albeit short read. While placed in a werewolf setting, the steam includes favorite themes of omegaverse enthusiasts such as male pregnancy (mpreg) and knotting.
Among those elements are MPREG, going into heat, a hierarchical biology-based class/caste system, and knotting. Other tropes dealing with “a basic biology they cannot deny” include pon farr, the Sime~Gen universe, and some elements of Sentinel AU.
Adam felt like it had been forever since the huge egg had started coming out of him, and it still wasn’t out. Crying out when he pushed, Adam knew this had to be the biggest of the eggs, feeling it was bigger then the ostrich egg. Letting out a scream, Adam couldn’t believe when gushes of fluids came out of him, letting him know other eggs were helping push the other egg out. Trying to keep his legs far apart as they would go, Adam felt down after a contraction had ended to feel the egg becoming half way out as the widest part was stretching him.
Joel finally answered his question as he lifted his eyes to look at the man’s eyes. “The smallest are just bigger than the berries you ate and the biggest can be as large as an ostrich egg.” he said, enjoying the way his stomach was swelling and saw bulges of the eggs on the surface of his taut
Yuuri heard the tales of the Hunt growing up, never thinking he’d participate in such a thing. Alphas paying for the privilege to ‘hunt down’ and claim their Omega mates. The long standing ritual seemed old fashioned and barbaric…a cruel fate for the Omegas who participated…
Omegas would be loving and caring with their dolls, as if they were small children. They would make sure to “feed”them, bathe them, and do everything as if they were real children. They would never leave their dolls alone and carry them everywhere, making sure to be gentle with them and never leaving them alone.
honestly im so tired of how a/b/o is used to enforce creepy-ass heteronormativity thats already at full blast with Popular Yaoi Ships… like wow, how fuckin original, the less masculine, submissive of the two is the Lesser Male meant to be a breeding factory, and often destined to be subjected to a forced, downright rapey relationship. you did a real good job going beyond our expectations there, real genre breaking
‘Home’ is a small house in a neighborhood that never changes, where the weather is always sunny and there’s no need to buy groceries, mow the grass or pay the bills. ‘Home’ is a place where Sam can return to and be the old Sam, not the King of Hell.‘Home’ is where Dean lives.A place created by Sam, a golden cage in Hell, but their home nonetheless.
Another great addition to this series. I do wish that they were a little longer. Cory wanted his own Alpha so bad and thought that it would be a long time, if ever, for him to find one. Then the day happens where one is basically dropped into his lap. Loved these two together. I was happy to see the Omegas from Carrow’s pack saved and would have like to see the betas and the Alphas saved as well. Guess we will have to wait for the next book. The council is kind of on the loopy side. I just can’t figure out what their thought process is. At first they are against anytype of an alliance and now they are. Are they in talks with another pack without letting their people know? I guess we will have to wait for that as well.
Dean said nothing and sat behind Sam. Even though Dean was a demon at the moment (though Dean didn’t feel even an ounce of it in his body at the moment) Sam relaxed into Dean’s embrace. Well, as relaxed as one could be with having to push out a live human being.
