Charmed Fates is more than just a romance. It has a bit of mysticism added to it in the form of a very unhappy spirit and a psychic who helps spirits to find closure all without charging a penny because she doesn’t feel it’s right to do so. When you meet Indigo, he is helping his mother contact a spirit in order to discover why it is upset and what they can do to help it find some closure. Right away you get a feel for his personality. He’s sweet, a bit innocent, shy, and a romantic through and through. He’s also been hurt, deeply, in the past, and yet it doesn’t stop him from hoping to find love one day.
A very early example, (perhaps the first?) of mpreg art, from the 1980 Star Trek: TOS zine Galactic Discourse #3, artist Linda White. “Bones, would you come to my cabin please? I think it’s time you learned the truth about Setarcos.” It is a riff on the story Beyond Setarcos
Amy found it harder and harder to keep her masculine side intact. Her voice had raised and she was now moaning in pain every push. She breathed heavily as she continued. She wanted this to end. She was tired of letting Leshia be her midwife and allow her to see everything that was going on down there. She wanted to give birth alone, but Leshia was too worried and wouldn’t allow it.
Ferris gripped the rocks edges and squeezed his eyes shut, groaning as the pain contracted his stomach. He placed a hand over his swollen belly and panted, trying to crawl up onto the rocks. He hauled himself up once the pain passed, and he laid back on his back as his tail morphed into two, perfect human legs.
In the end, I felt there was a cliffhanger. With how the author ended it I felt like someone hit me in the face with a wooden paddle; with WTF on the tip of my tongue. I can only assume Rian is going to help Taryn in his own way with the Pack War. I guess I will have to see if the next book in the series goes in this direction. If so I will give it a try; if not then unfortunately I must say I cannot go further with this series.
This is a particularly good example of the sex worker trope because it’s not really about Derek being a sex worker, it doesn’t glorify or condemn, it just examines it the same as it examines the other ways Derek responds and reacts to what he’s been through. And it’s told through Derek’s POV, which I liked. Plus Stiles is adorable and supportive in a completely non-pressuring way, which I like to think he would be. Charming.
“Don’t stop pushing!” Joel said impatiently as the egg started to crown. He rubbed the man’s belly as it tightened and contracted to push the big egg out and he felt something move down in the belly. He knew that this meant another egg was getting ready to be birthed even though this one wasn’t out yet.
When not exorcising the voices in her head, she toils away in a retail job that tests her patience and gives her lots of story fodder. She can also be found in her kitchen, pretending she’s an amateur chef and trying to not poison herself or others with her cuisine experiments.
Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared…..
Thanks for your answer! By the way, do you know some omegaverse stories with female main characters? Because it seems like there is a lot of yaoi omegaverse, but I haven’t seen a yuri omegaverse yet…
“Well, actually, no.” (F/N) sat down at his desk, ramaging through some drawers. “I wanted to ask you if you like it here. At this school, I mean.” (F/N) pushed his glasses up as he pulled out some papers.
Sam ground his teeth and felt his eyes sting both with anger at not being there and the idea that he was an uncle but he might not ever be able to see his niece or nephews, “Can I at least see Dean soon?” he asked.
“Arthur takes Alfred’s hand, standing slowly as they acknowledge and accept the truth. He relaxes majorly as they leave, holding Alfred’s hand all the way home.” Omegaverse AU. Arthur and Alfred are having trouble, so they go to a clinic for help. What they find out surprises them and changes their lives forever. (UsUk) Rated T because of paranoia.
Dane’s company is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, as rumors of nefarious activity have begun to fly; and though he is a strong, commanding and charismatic alpha, even Dane cannot stand against the slanderous onslaught that threatens to take do…wn his business.
2. White Horses by Jackie Stevens: They say that there are no white horses – those that we think of as white are really just a faded and deceiving grey. Names can be misleading, and definitions can be false, and yet through the maze of artifice and deceit, we might just find something true. When Harry returns for his last two years at Hogwarts School, he will find that boundaries are shifting and not everyone is who he thought – including himself. He will have to learn that change is like those elusive white horses: swift, beautiful and irretrievable. ***This story is so incredible and poignant; I really have been wanting to draw fan art for it! Ultra fave.
Today was especially busy, and the head of the clinic was busy seeing men and their big tums all day since they opened up that morning. In fact her own head nurse was expecting triplets, and he was very much showing it. Sitting behind the counter, the young man was flipping through a magazine with a callous look on his face, and all but ignored the redheaded woman as she walked up behind him.
Saved is book one in A.M. Arthur’s new Breaking Free series that takes place in the Omegaverse. I’ll say that the note in the blurb caught my attention first. I’ve never read mpreg before, so I jumped on it. I definitely got more than I expected.

Francis eyes widened. He could die? He shook his head fervently and blinked back tears as he tried to centre himself for the next contraction. He focused on the intense burning sensation in between his legs and willed the baby to move downwards. When the next contraction came, Francis scrunched his face in pain and shuddered violently. His toes curled and he flung his head back, crying out as both shoulders crashed through his anus. He panted hard then pushed again, gasping the moment his baby slipped free.
This book really confused me. I don’t remember any of Arthur’s other books being this melodramatic and cheesy. She’s never been a stranger to angst, sure, but when the characters start spewing things like, “you being angry with me was tearing at my soul”, you’ve passed angst and skipped right on into Eyerollsville.

The trend for soulmate/soulmark AUs has cooled off a bit recently, I think, which is fine. It’s just the natural rhythm of fandom, tropes come and go. There have been some really intriguing explorations of the concept, and some that have just used the concept to tell beautiful stories, and this fic falls into the second of those categories. It’s depthful and interesting and well characterised and I was rooting so hard for those crazy kids.
NOTE: This is a non-shifter Omegaverse story with alpha/omega/beta dynamics, heats, knotting, and mpreg. In this world, omegas are second-class citizens with few civil rights and almost no protections under the law. Trigger warnings for physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. 67,000 words.
_ The kid watching how his parents interact and take care of one another and treat one another, so when the kid grows up and gets a family of their own they remember how Alfred and Artie acted as parents and use them as role models
Dean took a deep breath, his entire body and soul exhausted. He knew he should be resting already but he just didn’t want to miss out on a second of being around his children. He just wished Sam and Bobby could be there but they wouldn’t even be able to look at the children. Before he could even think another thought, he passed out.
“Director Fury’s office,” answered the woman in front of her, not looking back. Six year old (Name) looked up and tilted her head to the side in a questioning manner. The name ‘Fury’ was one she didn’t know but then again – she didn’t even know where she was.
