Karter Jenks is a first-year constable who’s still trying to prove himself to his superiors, so he isn’t looking for a mate right now. Soon, sure, but he also knows he has work to do to change his alphahole tendencies around omega rights. The Kell Iverson trial opened his eyes to how cruelly some omegas are treated, …more
My interest was even more piqued when I read the author’s introduction in which she names the current political situation in the US and Leta’ Blake’s Slow Heat (a book I thoroughly loved) as major inspirations.
With triplets on the way, Kyo was experiencing some of his weirdest cravings he’d ever had in his life at seven months. Last night he asked Ikki to cook cheese pizzas with nothing but pickles for toppings. Today Ikki and Kyo were out doing some shopping for their triplets even though Kyo had trouble walking around.
Tightening his grip on his knees, he pulled them as far as he could manage along the sides of his massively swollen stomach, groaning while he bore down again. “Nnngh!” He grunted and groaned with each push, and moaned when he felt his contractions coming back. The baby in his birth canal was pushed down bit by slow and painful bit though, he was making progress at the very least.
Sam was half chanting and half wailing ‘no’ and ‘it’s too early’ over and over again. What the actual fuck was happening here? Sam had his arms around his stomach protectively and tried to curl his body while Cas was holding him.

Damn if that glare coming from Castiel couldn’t smite Dean at the moment. Dean gritted his teeth and said nothing. Maybe while Castiel was preoccupied with Sam and the little bastard Dean could escape and be long gone.
“Ohh, yes… wrong, it’s wrong, too fucking early…Argh!” Why did he keep saying that? Castiel finally pushed Sam’s arms out of the way and he put his hands on Sam. What did Sam have? Maybe it was an incurable stomach cancer that finally caught up to him. Dean ignored the fear that ran up his spine and smirked.
When an Omega is pregnant other Omegas will flock towards them, causing the Alpha to get jealous and tense with all the attention on their Omega. This make them go into an even more protective mode than usual.
Indeed, Loki was aware of how terrible he looked, though thankfully he was no longer in agony thanks to a good dose of morphine. He still donned a neck brace, but he also now had plaster casts on both his arms and legs.
Ashton Smith is a free-spirited omega artist, a painter with a passion for taking risks. After a visit to a well that shows wolves their true mates, he comes across the man he saw while frequenting his favorite bar. This man is familiar to him, and eventually they realize the truth: they were lovers in the past.
“Good grief. Some father you’ll be. I can’t expect you to get up and help with the babies in the middle of the night if you won’t even get up for your pregnant husband when he’s in labour,” yelled Harry in frustration. Draco didn’t even stir.
Omegaverse is really a fascinating fandom invention. 50% of it is totally problematic and reinforcing a lot of fucked up patriarchal, rape culture values. The other 50% is some of the most insightful, subversive social commentary I’ve ever read on gender identity/gender roles/queer oppression.
This was a well written book that borrowed items from today’s headlines and could help open the eyes of those that might not be aware of the struggles of minorities, women and those in the LGBTQIA+ communities. This was the first of A.m.’s books I’ve read but it won’t be the last. With well written characters and storylines this is a don’t miss book.I give it a 9 out of 10.

They seem like normal people. They go to work every day, keep their lawn nice and trimmed, and pay their taxes on time. They vote. They go to school. You run into them at the mall, or at the playground with their kids. Such nice folks, upstanding citizens
