Ryker is poised to become Prime Alpha of the Staynton Valley Pack, taking over from his father. But Ryker’s sexuality concerned his pack. Because he preferred mating with men his pack questioned whether he could take a female mate and perpetuate his line. Ryker thought this was ridiculous and didn’t feel the need to procreate just to satisfy some old tradition. After an argument with his father about this issue, he takes off to clear his head and finds himself at a shifter bar where he finds something, or rather someone, a rare male Omega.
Dean fell in love with him, and even once he regained his strength and returned home to the castle, he continued to visit Castiel in secret. When Castiel told him he was pregnant, a quirk of his magical biology, Dean was overjoyed until the reality of his father’s decree dawned upon him.
“Simply put, mpreg. It’s not a squick for me, but I’m not crazy it, and often short fics follow the cliché structure of they meet – they bond – they have sex – they have a baby. It’s a bit too Cinderella for me, too quick and not very satisfying, emotionally speaking. (…) Ah, and I’m also not sure I’m crazy about this trend I’ve seen around of calling the babies “pups” and such and using wolf/dog terminology. I see where it comes from, but I don’t really buy why a human omegaverse society would evolve like this.” (Lou, female, panromantic/grey-a, 18-25, France)
When Taryn fails his Guard tryouts and Rian learns he’s infertile, it seems like life is just getting worse for the brash Alpha and his reluctant Omega. The pair has to learn to work together to get through it all—and will Rian ever learn about his own desires?
The story did not deliver quite as much as I would have preferred, as some of the “world/setting” reveal was rather bland, and the overarching background plot (a Triad+Omega sent by an exiled/almost powerless goddess) was too huge to be easily acceptable. This mega-story certainly is intriguing, but it came across as a bit too blasé for me. (I guess I expect a long, detailed and provocative exploration for such an epic storyline.) Still, this level of drama separates this work from others that are a bit more “mundane” in their treatment of Werewolf-human interaction.
Erin is a small, fragile and terribly shy. He can’t be in a crowd without freaking out, everyday he has to face his tormentor jacob. On top of that he has to hell- I see home where he is beaten and tortured with only one friend Julia who does not know what goes on and his family is hiding something from him. Then this new guy named josh comes into town and takes a certain interest into Erin. But he hides something that will change Erin’s life forever. while Erin’s hiding big himself.
Again, despite the title, I enjoyed reading Cory and Carrow’s story. I liked that Cory was so different from Rian. It was a little surprising that the Council didn’t make more of a deal about Cory being pregnant, but it surprised the main characters too, so it will probably be a part of the larger mystery of what the Council is planning.
A very early example, (perhaps the first?) of mpreg art, from the 1980 Star Trek: TOS zine Galactic Discourse #3, artist Linda White. “Bones, would you come to my cabin please? I think it’s time you learned the truth about Setarcos.” It is a riff on the story Beyond Setarcos
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking, reading to partying; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over brainstorming in teams. Although they are often labeled “quiet,” it is to introverts that we owe many of the great contributions to society–from van Gogh’s sunflowers to the invention of the personal computer.

“Push now!” Joel urged the man to push as the egg slid out halfway before slipping back in when the man stopped pushing. He spread the man’s legs to it’s furthest extent and looked at the egg while the man struggled to push it out.
Adam felt his stomach hating that he could feel each of the eggs underneath his skin, before noticing some were tiny and others big. Wanting to ask again Adam had to know the answer, “How big…do …they get???”
He groaned as his finger felt a smooth, hard surface. An egg! He could feel the tip, it was definitely an egg. He groaned and pulled his finger back, gripping some rocks now. He bore down and spread his legs as he did, groaning as the egg moved down his anus further. It was far slower than his baby’s progress though.
However it had all turned bad when said Chief detective began investigating the Italian mafia. And that’s how Bret had found himself face to face with the barrel of a gun as he finished showering one night last week. They’d taken him, only grabbing some underwear and pants, and had ruthlessly interrogated him, even though he was due any day.
“This is not specifically about omegaverse itself, but when people say mpreg, they automatically think of omegaverse. The character could be trans or intersex or genderfluid. You never know.” (Devon, genderfluid, pansexual, 15-18, USA)
Jared was born into his profession. He’d never met his parents. His father had been katil, killed in action, more legend than man. He used to wonder what his father would’ve been like, whether he knew about Jared. It seemed more people knew about his father than he ever did as a kid and it’s taken Jared an entire life to emerge from the long shadow his father had cast.
Great read however I must say at the beginning of the book I was totally confused for a few chapters, however I advice you bot to give up as it will all come together the farther you get. I was a little slow there for a minute but the beginning is how you Learn about the different lives Blake the alpha and Josh the omega live. It punctuates the difference between the two. I loved Josh and understood the pain he went through at all he lost. I also understand how Blake felt growing up in the shadows of his siblings. I received an ARC and voluntarily left a review. I gave this book five stars because the message it contains for me was quite powerful. As a parent I don’t do favorites but at the same time I try to teach my kids that every relationship and connection we cultivate will not all be the same. As people the way we connect with each individual person we develop a relationship with is different because we relate to each individual in a different way. If you go to Red Lobster with one friend because they love seafood but go to Olive Garden with another because the don’t like seafood doesn’t mean you favor one friend over the other because one is more expensive than the other. It just means you actually took the time to get to know them individually and you respect them. You love them for who they are and the difference they bring to the relationship. Great read and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
AU. Sequel to Carrier of Darkness. Logan was sure it was over, but it’s only just begun. His son is changing and the demon’s are aware of it all. But with the help of the angel’s can Logan defeat the demon’s once again?
“Reading my favorite characters struggling with something I can relate to, and seeing them starting a family plus all the angst that usually comes first. I also love kid fic, and sometimes MPREG is part of a kid fic.” -Alias
The trope originated in Supernatural fandom with a few very specific AU kink meme prompts for the J2 RPF ship. The first one was in May 2010 and has also been identified as the culprit responsible for the popularity of knotting in SPN fandom:
So I started ‘Saved’ not really know what would entail and if my hang ups on mpreg and the abuse would keep my from enjoying this book. This was the first book by A.M. that I have read so I had not clue about her writing style, or what to expect. I don’t tend to step outside my box when it comes to new books and new to me authors so I was afraid this would hinder the way I judged it. I will tell you right now, I am glad I did this for my out of comfort zone book, because I have since bought book two in this series, as well as two more books by A.M.
It wasn’t a surprise his personal servant Mithra had become impregnated at the start of that Spring, (Mithra had yet to escape a breeding season without becoming impregnated, his body longed by all as it were) and Adonis was taking advantage of the fact Mithra was his own personal servant and not another’s by making him hold his pregnancy for as long as he could manage, and enjoy the fruits of this lustrum’s
So I finished Striped and Bear and immediately had to read the second part of this story…so glad that I did. I love the premise of this story…differences bringing us together! Bears, tigers, oh my!!! This story picks up with Mark (Matthew’s younger brother) meeting his mate Zeke (Ezra’s cousin)…alright, a little contrite I know but the story was fantastic. Love, adventure, kidnapping, Polar bears…it’s all here. Thoroughly enjoyed this story and hope we get to see where the Bruner family and their mates (& kids) go next…Gus Klondike did another great job bringing the characters to live and using differing inflections to the characters. Good book…
Kendall just wanted everything to beokay. He wanted the emptiness that he was feeling to go away. Then James Diamond enters his life. The last thing Kendall wanted was to fall in love again, but he made a promise. A promise that needed to be kept. AU. MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH

Studying for finals is hard. Staging an assassination against an unkillable target is impossible. Even worse? Attempting it all whilst carrying your best friend’s baby, of which you barely even remember… well, creating. Nagisa didn’t know how his life had ended up like this.
