The 3rd book in the series continues to expand this interesting premise of a world populated only by men. All the characters from the previous books appear here to continue to flesh out their stories. I like the interaction between the 2 main characters. The omega is mute, the alpha a constable. Through a series of events they meet and realize they are meant to be together. Don’t like spoilers so none here. If you want to read a good love story try this one and the others in the series.
”I..I can’t! It burns! I’m scared!!!” He cries before he bears down again,Not even bothering to open his legs. The fire in his anus grows worse and he feels his anus being stretched unnaturally wide to accommodate the babies head. With another push,He feels the babies head pop out of him with a rush of fluids and Sebastian yanks his legs open long enough to make sure the baby is alright. He quickly suctions it’s mouth and nose out before twisting it slowly,Just enough to pass the neck. was very pleasantly surprised by the sub-plot in this book with the loan shark Vinnie. I was expecting to just have conflict between Ash & River and Janine – which wouldn’t have been bad, but I’m glad that wasn’t the major source of conflict in the story.
Ciel screams out as he holds his knees and bears his chin down to his chest,Straining and panting. His face hot with sweat and exertion,He can’t help but scream out at the seering, tearing pain he feels. He’s sure he’s going to be ripped open,or worse, ripped completely in half. He lets out a panicked breath as he stops pushing, and he grabs hold of the curtain behind his bed and holds on tightly,Nearly ripping it from the window as he bears down again against the enormous pressure in his anus. Before long,He begins to feel the ring of fire and he gulps in a mixture of fear and pain.
The Tiger’s Mate is a different take on the shifter world. Lance is the High Alpha of a secret shifter Streak. He’s desperate to get out and live in the outside world of humans. He’s curious about them. He finally runs, meeting Ewan at a bar. Ewan is living as a shifter in hiding. He was raised human and doesn’t know if there are more of him out there, or if he’s the only one. Lance promises answers to all of Ewan’s questions, and they come in spades–Lance is a tiger! Ewan is in lust, and hoping it’s love. Full of questions about the Streak, he and Lance argue in between bouts of the hottest sex Ewan ever had. This last fight is the one to end them. Ewan runs until he can’t run any more, will the Streak accept him? Will Lance come back? Will the Streak and the new High Alpha let him come back after he abandoned them?
Sam grunts, “Fine,” and turns them around, holding onto Dean just as tightly as he has been doing, and Dean soon feels the edge of the bed against the back of his knees. He lets himself fall, taking Sam with him and tugging him on top of him. “Jesus, get naked already,” he demands and Sam grins down at him.
I’m a complete newbie to the concept. After a recent post about it, where several people linked off to a Tumblr masterpost detailing a possible biological, sociological, and historical-political framework for it, I’ve been intrigued by the possibilities for the exploration of gender and sociopolitical structures.
But then you have Tarek, who believes that not only should omega’s have equal rights but that they actually hold the power. Again the lines in their universe and ours is eerily similar. There are good people that want equal rights for everyone. But back to the story. Braun makes it clear he wants nothing to do with Tarek, especially being mated to him. Tarek knows that Braun is terrified of alphas, though he doesn’t know the “why” of it. He knows he needs to tread carefully with Braun, and prove to him that he can trust him. Watching them navigate, their obvious bond was so very enjoyable to read, I liked how even though they both knew they were meant to be together they didn’t just fall into bed. But OMG when they did. HOLY. HELL. THAT. WAS. HOTTTTTTT. I have to say that was one of the hottest, raunchiest, best sex scenes I have EVER read. I need ice water after it.
Alois had found out about Claude having raped Ciel and had ordered him to stay away from Ciel. After a few punishments dealt to Claude he hurried off to find Ciel in his room. He sat down next to Ciel “Don’t worry Ciel he will never touch you again I promise” he said brushing Ciel’s hair out of his eyes.
Francis cried out as yet another contraction ripped through him and he balled his hands into fists, grasping the bedsheets. His body felt like it was on fire, the intense heat of his struggle making him gasp for breath.
There are a pair of grogeous teen girls who live next door to me. Lauren and Amy were the same age as me and we’ve all been through school together. As we have grown up and hit our teens, I’ve found myself sexual attracted to the girls, and they also felt the same way. During our early teens we spent most of the time doing the “You show yours, I’ll show mine” situations, but never had sex.
Aaron North, on the other hand, doesn’t believe in all that mumbo-jumbo. Spending his days writing snarky, skeptical articles for anti-paranormal magazines, Aaron’s life is consumed by logic and what’s directly in front of him. Love at first sight? Sheer nonsense. Fate? He’s not buying it. The fact that his latest gig—an article setting out to debunk a haunted bed & breakfast in the quaint town of Crosswinds—thrusts him directly into the path of sexy, free-spirited Indigo is just a coincidence.
To the Sticking Place by blueink3 – John and Sherlock as theatre actors, both acting as the main roles in a Hamlet production! WIP (I don’t know why this doesn’t get more love, this is the theatre version of Performance In A Leading Role!) (my fave)
For now, onward to the final aspect of this analysis. Missingnolovefic from above, who came to Omegaverse for the way it puts men in a female social position which she can empathise with, continues that she “stayed for the complicated, original world-building the better authors work in. It turns into a sort of sci fi biology and social structure and politics and that’s amazing to watch tbh.”
Was the author ever gonna tell us what Jason’s power is? Don’t hint at something for that long and don’t reveal it to your readers. What are you waiting for? Book 2? Where the main character will obviously be Abel? What is the big freaking deal about Jason other than his spring horniness? I’m pissed. I sat through 200something pages and I still don’t fugging know.
The “werewolves exposing themselves to humans” trope is a difficult one for me to appreciate without an extreme level of thought and sophistication. (The author’s treatment of this “coming out” wasn’t horrible, and had plenty of political and personality-driven machinations, but for those plots to be very enjoyable to me, I yearn for a very significant and deeply well thought-out world building and story. The reasons why werewolves remain hidden for so long, how they’ve interacted with and affected human events in the past, and why they are coming out now are massive questions that are difficult to answer in a short romance. For example, author attempted to address some of this with comments about World War I and the War on Terror, so kudos for at least trying to put such a earth-shattering, seminal event into some perspective. But to me this ices over World War II and the Cold War, which to me vastly, vastly larger threats by far to both humanity and especially werewolves’/supernaturals’ position and stake in the world.) Again, my respect to the author to at least try to address this, even if in this particular case it did not really enhance the believability (or suspension of my disbelief) too much for me personally.
As the title suggests this story is about an alpha and an omega who are talked into using the dating app OmegaDate. This is the second book I’ve read in the series and each book has had its own charming and entertaining storyline. I’ve read a number of Mr. Nightshade’s books thus far and will always be on the lookout for more. The two main characters are Rocco the alpha and Kade the omega.
Author’s summary: Derek waits until the door is shut behind him before he turns around. He holds out his hand, plants his ‘if you’re not weird about it, I won’t be’ smile on his face and says, “Nice to meet you, Stiles. I’m Michael. What kind of a good time are you looking for tonight?”
Jess reached in-between Jamie and felt his vagina, she could feel the baby’s head. Jess moved in front of Jamie, she could see the head crowning. Jamie felt the ring of fire, he put his hand on his vagina and pushed as hard as he could.
Hearing the banter between the two of them, I look over and smile before turning my attention back to cooking Tom’s sandwich. Nearly a decade ago, I never would have thought of getting married, much less having children. But now here I am; a loving husband, two beautiful children, and he’s giving me a third… Didn’t think I’d ever be this lucky.
I rejected my father’s idea of what it meant to be Alpha — what it meant to be royalty. I lost my crown and homeland, and live in exile for plotting against my father’s machinations. I regret nothing. That isn’t true. My regrets haunt me every day. My sacrifice saved lives, and was worth it all….
An hour later both Sam and little Mary Joan Winchester were both asleep. Sam had bought a few articles of unisex, baby clothing. It turned out that little Mary was shy and didn’t show her sex through the ultrasound; the clothes were kinda big for her but that’s all they had at the moment. There was also a little, white bassinet by Sam’s bed where he had laid down their newborn daughter.
Rowan changes from a man seeking easy money without thought of consequences. He is uncertain about becoming a father but loving Derrick helps him to look forward to being a good mate and provider for his family. Derrick sees through Rowan’s roughness to the tender man who takes such good care of him when Rowan shares story about the well that just reinforces he has the right man. Great characters and well written story full of action and love. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
