Zeke Kaplan isn’t like most tigers. Where any other tiger would prefer to roam wild and run free, Zeke has been desperately searching for the mate he knows can calm his inner-beast. So when he catches the eye of a weary-eyed bear with a chip on his shoulder, Zeke knows he’s found the one. Convincing the sexy and broad-shouldered giant, however, turns out to be more than a little challenging.
Omega Rian doesn’t want to get married—not to an Alpha, anyway. Everyone knows they have… strange desires, and Rian’s scared. But the Black River Pack is besieged on all sides by enemies, and the Council wants him to get married… now. When he’s paired with Taryn, his life will be changed forever.
Review: All of the elements of a good, unlikely alpha/omega mpreg romance and an underlying supernatural, political plot were present, but the work was lacking in the execution and exposition of these creative story lines and characters. The book raced through developments, shortly describing major events and changes without compelling prose or developing feelings and revelations at an appropriate pace that would entice and draw the reader in. Basically, the story and character ideas and conflicts were very solid, but the execution within individual scenes was often overly quick and simplistic.
He couldn’t stop crying, but Eren gave another pained whimper and Levi was forced to lay the tiny boy down so he could turn his attention back to his mate. It was kind of shocking to see the damage birth had done, but Eren was still on his hands and keeps. Feeling ever so slightly more confident, he ran his hand against Eren’s leg
I think that if it was fleshed out just a bit more, if it delved just a little deeper, this could be a five star read. It has great potential to be a stellar series and I’m looking forward to reading Kell’s book.
For female Omegas and Betas, it works just as real life should. For male Omegas is where it gets complicated. Since their uterus is not in the normal position, there will most likely be a c-section, or Cesarean section. Basically they cut their body open and go into the womb, pulling the baby out that way. There are anesthetics that can be used to help numb the pain.
But that wasn’t the only reason I love this book. The secondary characters play such a major role, that without them, the book would be lacking something. It also feels like there are two different storylines going on that don’t compete with one another, yet weave together to make it whole. Getting close to the end of the book I wondered if maybe by the end, Tarek and Braun and some of the secondary characters story was far from over. And I am so happy to say that no, it wasn’t the final end, there is more to this series and as so as I was done with Saved I rushed to buy book two.
Alpha billionaire Ryan Weiss insists that the two are fated mates. Isaac has never been with another man before, but he can’t help feel the pull of Ryan’s baby blues or ignore the way his heart races whenever Ryan says his name.
“Really, Sam, I’m gone for a few months and you go and get yourself knocked up like a common whore? Forgot to use a condom? Do you even know who the father is or are you completely in the dark? Good thing your body is rejecting the little parasite.”

No stranger to the writing world, A.M. Arthur has been creating stories in her head since she was a child and scribbling them down nearly as long. She credits an early fascination with male friendships (bromance wasn’t a thing yet) with her later discovery of and subsequent affair with m/m romance stories. When not writing, she can be found in her kitchen, pretending she’s an amateur chef and tryi …more
So I finished Striped and Bear and immediately had to read the second part of this story…so glad that I did. I love the of this story…differences bringing us together! Bears, tigers, oh my!!! This story picks up with Mark (Matthew’s younger brother) meeting his mate Zeke (Ezra’s cousin)…alright, a little contrite I know but the story was fantastic. Love, adventure, kidnapping, Polar bears…it’s all here. Thoroughly enjoyed this story and hope we get to see where the Bruner family and their mates (& kids) go next…Gus Klondike did another great job bringing the characters to live and using differing inflections to the characters. Good book…
How many Omegas can say they were rescued by a kidnapping ring before they were rescued from it? Thane was an Omega with a very dark secret, trying to break free from an unpleasant past when he was hired as a paralegal in the local shifter law firm. Alpha Haldrian Christof, Drey to his friends, was one of the few local attorneys specializing in shifter law. His first attempt at claiming an Omega, a visit to the Omega auction, had ultimately failed. That didn’t stop him from falling for his new paralegal, a kidnapping victim with soft blond curls and entrancing blue eyes.
