Yuuri slowly dropped his shaking hand from his mouth, and it drifted down to rest against his belly. He was eerily still as he stared off into space, and the scared, confused look in his eyes made Viktor’s chest feel like it had a thousand pounds on top of it.
I did have a couple issues with this story, and spoiler alert because I can’t talk about what I didn’t like without spoilers. I thought it was dumb in the first two stories that no one happened to notice when their condoms failed, but in this story they have unprotected sex and Colin is surprised when he ends up pregnant? His only line of thought is that he must have a virus? Believe me, if the guy is so anti-kid, he’s going to be worried about pregnancy from the moment they had sex.

Braun Etting was raised to know his place as an omega by his alpha father’s cruel words and fast fists, and he expects nothing but violence from the alpha who may one day mate him. His older brother Kell mated a cruel alpha who abuses him daily, and Braun is terrified of that seemingly inevitable future. When Braun’s father dies in a car crash, leaving Braun an orphan, he’s sent to a halfway house for omegas. But on his fourth night there, he witnesses a horrifying crime that sends him fleeing to the streets alone—and edging into his first heat.
In a world where Might Makes Right omegas are born victims. This was a difficult story for me to read. The omegas in this Omegaverse endure the enslavement, with all of the physical, emotional abuse which that word embodies, that women have endured throughout history and to a lesser extent still deal with today. There is government sanctioned injustice premised solely on the idea that physical strength gives one group domain over another as though a human were property. Braun, an omega, finds the strength to fight to save himself, his brother, and other omegas from subjugation with the aid of his enlightened alpha mate and his friends. And, oh, yeah, there’s also a love story. However, both of the MCs could be a little irritating. The alpha needs to grow a pair where the omega is concerned and the omega needs to grow up. I wouldn’t call this story a standalone as the problems in this story aren’t all resolved. They continue into several more books which I intend to read. Four stars only because it’s not completed.
“Um, not yet in a minute maybe” he said as he trailed off with a moan. After a few minutes, Jamie got up but when Jess removed her hands from his hips, Jamie felt a rush of pain. he didn’t realize he was having a contraction because of Jess’s magic. “Uuuuggghhhh!” Jamie wailed as he squatted down.
After a bout of ill health his father seems ready to pass the torch at any moment. Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t be any worse. Rocco has only just decided that he needs to part ways with his current boyfriend Skye, but he’s going to need a mate in order for the pack to accept him fully as Alpha—not to mention fend off evil rival Jarvis’ challenge to his status.
Listen, Fresne is the gender-fuck goddess of the Omegaverse. Fresne took one look at the rulebook of the ‘verse, said to themselves “Fuck that noise in particular”, and promptly tore it to poignant shreds. This is the Omegaverse in its full potential – lyrical and magical and dripping with heat, smothering you in sensuality while it cuts to the quick and makes you think. There are many stories in the series, they aren’t linked, and they are of various lengths, so maybe this is cheating … but to me, they are all masterpieces to be treasured so fuck your rules. In particular, I recommend Stars in a Phyrgian Sky, Gordian and A Study in Azure.
i really have no love for the fact that an au template that hinges on rape/dubcon fetishism and transphobia/cissexism out of ignorance happens to be The Most prevalent thing i have to see when i just want to jerk off
As I said in my heading, I was expecting dazzlement but only got shine. The shine came in the concept of the storyline and the execution of it, which was very good. My problem was Braun. I just didn’t like him. And when you don’t take to one of the main MCs, you’ve got a problem and Houston…..I had a problem.
