Castiel growled at each of them but they ignored him and he finally calmed down. His grace was twisting inside of him, hating the image of Dean being held down. The hunter was in so much pain that Castiel felt it through their bond.
“[Omegaverse] squicked me out. It seems a bit non-con to me in places and I’m really really uncomfortable with huge power dynamics in romantic relationships.” (Torin, female, lesbian, 18-25, Isle of Man)
this is my first time reading Eola Eden but it will not be my last. I will definitely be reading the whole series. To start I was not sure. The characters seemed shallow and easy. However I stuck with it and was so glad I did. I up loving Peter and Nitro. I wish there could have been a bit more detail in their getting to know each other process but it picked up and was really good. I hope we hear more about them and their future….
Thomas Miles has a good life. Parents that loved him. A good friend that always understood him and helped him no matter what and a secret boyfriend! But what happens when he find out he’s pregnant? Will he be kicked out by his parents? Will he lose his only friend? Will his boyfriend leave him? Mpreg! Don’t like and can’t stand? Simple, DON’T READ! Rated T for language and themes.
“She settled with her feet tucked under her, watching the Alpha across the room as he paced and watched her, rumbling growls coming from him and a vicious snarl on his face. His black eyes were beautiful. They were like ink affected by magic—shiny, deep and bottomless—and they looked at her with a fierce desire that sent goosebumps over her whole body. Other Alphas were in the room, but she only watched him. Although the other men were also unbonded Alphas, her golden sight showed her the one with the most potential for breeding.”
Dean knew it was going to hurt and he didn’t want to hurt the child. He turned his eyes to the other archangels in the room for help and all three of them instantly straightened out to take the child.
Dean’s heart jumped and his stomach twisted when he began to see a brighter light start to release from him. Castiel’s hands finally made it out of the hunter and all of the angel’s stared in awe at the bright beacon of light that he held in his hands.
I really like how the story starts off and that Rian and Taryn’s situations are gradually introduced. However, their problems seem easily resolved not so soon after the fact. Talk about winning the luck lottery! Honestly, I was surprised that Rian’s infertility issue was not made into a bigger deal than what it was. Especially with the Pack Wars going on, getting married and procreation is a must in their society. Therefore, one would think that there would be some conflict at least between the parents (matchmaking) and the Council (pushes for births to build their Alpha Guard), but sadly no. I do wish that the author went into more detail about the Pack Wars and how they select their Council. I can only assume I will get the answers I need in the next book.
Comments: A truly epic fantasy AU that, despite drawing on those (much-beloved) Harlequin romance clichés, is legitimately well-written and a joy to read. Its does an excellent job of blending personal and national politics, religion and magic, while at its core delivering some beautiful slow-burn Charles and Erik romance. It is, of course, also very hot.
The day went by pretty quickly. All I was busy doing was ignoring Dylan. Unfortunately he was in one of my classes. For that class, I packed my things before the bell so I could zoom out of the classroom before Dylan. It was a success.
America was at his favourite restaurant eating away at three Big Macs and six packets of large French fries and drinking his fourth coke all the while rubbing at his eight and three quarter baby bump when suddenly he felt a cramp followed by something wet trickling down his thighs.
