Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It’s the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.
Thanks for your answer! By the way, do you know some omegaverse stories with female main characters? Because it seems like there is a lot of yaoi omegaverse, but I haven’t seen a yuri omegaverse yet…
Suddenly, Francis felt the ring of fire return as his anus slowly bulged and stretched around the baby’s head. His chest burned and he paused to draw breath but too late, the head had slipped back inside. Get back out here!” Niso felt helpless. He could only stay by the pregnant male and offer just the smallest relief. His hands kneaded the knots in Francis’ heaving flank and lower back, easing some of the pressure. “You’re doing it, just keep pushing. It’s already crowned Francis.” He kissed the laboring male’s shoulder and temple as encouragement then shuffled back to check Francis’ entrance. Niso was able to make out a tuft of dark hair poking out as the baby started to crown, and knew it would come out quickly if Francis gave a hard push.
His stomach had deflated considerably, and as he rubbed it and pressed in on it, the afterbirth from both the egg and the baby was passed as he pushed it out slowly. He looked up, forcing himself to sit up and lean against a rock as his mate handed him their two new babies, a twin boy and girl, while she cradled the egg to her chest.
I love this series. I love the characters, the dialogue and storylines. I also love the action and adventure aspect of it as well. This book was no different. It had drama, action, suspense, mystery, romance…it had it all. I loved how the characters interact with each other not just the two MCs, but all of the characters. The only bump I found in the story was they were discussing how Colin and Ed were discussing how they would take care of the baby. Colin mentioned something about being able to afford the rising health insurance premiums for the baby. Active duty service members and their families do not pay for their insurance. It’s an entitlement with the military. Me working with military insurance is the only reason why that stood out to me. Other than that tiny blip, the story was perfect. The series is a definite must read and I truly recommend it.
The concept appears frequently as a comedic gag in movie and television programs. In Monty Python’s 1979 film, Life of Brian, there is a political satire scene in which a character demands that any man has a “right to have babies if he wants them,” which is ridiculed as impossible. In the BBC science fiction comedy series Red Dwarf, the main character, Lister, becomes pregnant after having sex with a female version of himself in an alternate universe. In an episode of Sliders, the quartet “slides” into an alternate world in which babies develop during their final months in the father because a worldwide disease has kept women from being able to carry children beyond their first trimester. In the popular fantasy series Charmed’s fifth season, during a dream spell gone wrong, Leo ends up pregnant with Piper’s baby for a good deal of the episode, leading to her referring to him as an ‘incubator’ and at times berating him for ‘upsetting the baby’.
When Levi’s fist sounded out against the wood, the Alpha did not open it right away. Leaned into it, pressing his forehead against the smooth surface. Felt the pull of the Omega on the other side, just as he had that first day in the shelter. A whole new kind of gravity that tugged him not down to the earth but straight towards Levi. The laws of the universe shifting to bring them closer together, and Eren could not resist their inevitability.
Or that one merfolk au where Levi (merman/male/dominant) and Eren (mermaid/arguably still male but in the submissive role here) are a pair of mates living in the wild, meeting for the first time by the lake that Levi inhabits.

This is a good transition to the fundamental question my participants debated, namely whether Omegaverse is sexist/homo-/transphobic, or actually subversive and an incredibly reflective commentary on society…
By getting Castiel pregnant, Dean will out him as a witch to everyone and not even being Dean’s lover will save Castiel’s life. In fact, it will condemn him even quicker if John believes a witch has gained influence over his heir.
Without further ado, then, here are just some of my Omegaverse obsessions aka the roadmap of my descent into insanity. N.B.: My poison of choice in terms of fanfiction tends to be heavily Holmesian, and most of these focus explicitly on Holmes/Watson pairings (Sherlock/John in the BBC!verse).
When he discovers that his children have been found, by an alpha that is already on the way to deliver them into his arms, Aries is beside himself with nervous excitement. What he doesn’t expect is that the alpha is the one man that he has reason to hate due to a regrettable incident from the past.
The Contingency Plan by mightypog – When Sally and Greg prevent Sherlock from committing suicide when he thinks John has been killed, Sherlock and Sally reconsider each other. (bit of angst, nothing heavy) (this is so real like this is exactly how canon Sherlock will react if anything happens to John) (my fave)
Sitting outside on his roof, the red haired half demon enjoyed a smoke as he watched the setting sun toward the West. A cool breeze blew by, the smoke from his cigarette blowing gently in the breeze. He’d had to cut back on smoking the past eight months, and it was honestly killing the man.
Listen, Fresne is the gender-fuck goddess of the Omegaverse. Fresne took one look at the rulebook of the ‘verse, said to themselves “Fuck that noise in particular”, and promptly tore it to poignant shreds. This is the Omegaverse in its full potential – lyrical and magical and dripping with heat, smothering you in sensuality while it cuts to the quick and makes you think. There are many stories in the series, they aren’t linked, and they are of various lengths, so maybe this is cheating … but to me, they are all masterpieces to be treasured so fuck your rules. In particular, I recommend Stars in a Phyrgian Sky, Gordian and A Study in Azure.
With an impending battle between dragon and man, Scott is forced to make one of the most difficult decisions of his life. But can he give up everything that he knows on a chance at love with a creature from another world?
“I tried really hard to like it, but I want to read about human beings — we are ruled by our minds mostly and as such, Omegaverse fics just are not relate-able in any sense for me. There’s a lot of lazy writing that goes on in it as well, not helped by the fact that since most everyone is written as an animal who cannot control their desires, the smut takes precedence over the actual writing.” (Dan, male, 25-30, Philippines)
As he bore down hard, he groaned through gritted teeth until he was screaming as the head of his baby came down to crown. “Nnngh… Gyah!!” He cried out. The head was nearly crowned and the egg was still bulging his anus as it continued to crown further. “I-I can’t…!” He gasped, catching his breath.
Regardless of his sadly lacking social circle, Stiles was going to have to get some physical contact or he was going to explode. Seriously. It’d be messy and Derek would probably become even more emotionally constipated having to clean up little bits of Stiles from his pristine walls and furniture.
“Weird heterosexual sex dynamics are frequently replicated in Omegaverse. Some writers compare in-world prejudices (usually those about omegas) to real-world racism or homophobia, but they do it really carelessly and it ends up being rather racist or homophobic.” (Alice, female, queer/grey-asexual, 18-25, Canada)

The blurb for this fired my imagination from the start. In a world where omegas are second-class citizens with few civil rights and almost no protections under the law. Bring it on I thought. I’m ready.
Again, there’s a lot of versions of the explanation of the omegaverse shits and these happens in some webcomics/mangas already xD hope you can find those, these are very weird but it haves a lot of beautiful FLUFF
