Jensen is difficult, Tapping had warned him. He took down three katil. Granted they’re not to your caliber, but who is? Be careful. Don’t get cocky. Jensen looks harmless, but he’s very resourceful. He won’t take a mile because an inch is all he needs. You understand?
The universe in question is the Omegaverse, and it is the product of some very odd machinations in the world of fanfiction. Really, very odd. I know Frenchie has already mentioned this trope in her earlier post, but since we’re going full omegaverse here, I’ll start out with a bit of Omegaverse 101.
Newlyweds Celestial and Roy are the embodiment of both the American Dream and the New South. He is a young executive, and she is an artist on the brink of an exciting career. But as they settle into the routine of their life together, they are ripped apart by circumstances neither could have imagined. Roy is arrested and sentenced to 12 years for a crime Celestial knows he didn’t commit. Though fiercely independent, Celestial finds herself bereft and unmoored, taking comfort in Andre, her childhood friend, and best man at their wedding.
THE OMEGA’S CHRISTMAS WISH is a 46k-word, light & funny, wolf shifter, fated mates, A/O, MPREG, paranormal, gay romantic comedy. This holiday tail contains male pregnancy and steamy scenes for mature audiences only, as well as a pouncy niece, a pretend date, a puppy named Kitty, a potential litter of platypuses, and some knotty holiday fun.
“Maybe my interest in mpreg relates to my love of genderbend fics? Even though I’m cis I have a strange obsession with characters changing place on the gender spectrum, particularly if it is caused by magic rather than a born-that-way-AU. Although I really wish that there were more fics with characters that are born/turned/come-out-as shades of intersex in a non-A/B/O way. I do read A/B/O on occasion, but generally I prefer RL-gender fics.” -Anonymous
He hates the slow slide of honeyed fingers in his hair. He hates the way the longer hairs at the back of his neck brush the leather collar Sam has him wear when they have visitors. He hates being Sam’s little pet. He hates the way the demon Captain watches Sam pet his hair, almost as much as he hates Sam petting his hair in the first place.
“Well, there are human women who have the same line of thought that you have. They want the babies but not the partner. They find donors and have the babies by themselves and raise them alone. Maybe you could find an angel willing to uh, help you get pregnant and then part ways. And you get to keep the fledglings.” When Sam finished explaining, the angel seemed in deep thought.
Dr.Fitz is a women who looked to be in her early thirties. She keeps her straight brown hair back in a bun and I have met her a few times when Liam had caught the stomach flu on the road last tour. She travels around with us and I occasionally say hi to her when I spot her backstage. She doesn’t have the white coat on like doctors in hospitals, but she does wear a name badge showing she’s ‘with the band’.
As Adam’s body felt the effects of the poison, he looked up to the other man about to ask how long that purple stuff take effect when suddenly he gasped in pain as he watched in horror as his stomach grew not stopping until he looked like a full term pregnant woman. Yelling at what was happening, the other man explained the purple liquid was placing each of the barries into a egg for them to be birthed out of him.
This is a good transition to the fundamental question my participants debated, namely whether Omegaverse is sexist/homo-/transphobic, or actually subversive and an incredibly reflective commentary on society…
Daryl hates being an omega. He hates the pack he’s had to join to survive, he hates that Merle was gone and he really hates that he’s run out of heat suppressants. But the worst thing was knowing Rick and Shane, the groups alphas, were everything he’d always wanted.
Adam groaned from frustration and the contraction realizing it would take a while before his opening would be ready to push a egg through it. While the other man paced around, the minutes turned into hours as Adam noticed the sun going down outside the hut. His contractions had came and gone along with the guys pacing turning into sitting and checking him to see if he was ready.
As Mark and Zeke’s forbidden romance buds, an old and dangerous enemy rears his head once more, threatening to destroy everything they’ve come to hold dear. When flight no longer remains an option, Mark and Zeke must fight back or lose each other forever. Can they overcome a force that would see them dragged into eternal dismay, or will they have to face a harsh truth and realize that sometimes romances should remain forbidden?
As I walked into the house my cat Mavis ran to me and licked my face a million times giving me kisses. I pet him and smiled. “Hi Mavis. I got you something awesome.” I said as I set the bags on the counter. “Sweet boy what are you doing?” I asked as he started to sniff the bags.
In the end, I felt there was a cliffhanger. With how the author ended it I felt like someone hit me in the face with a wooden paddle; with WTF on the tip of my tongue. I can only assume Rian is going to help Taryn in his own way with the Pack War. I guess I will have to see if the next book in the series goes in this direction. If so I will give it a try; if not then unfortunately I must say I cannot go further with this series.
Alternative Universe where Harry Potter his someone else child. No magic involved. Some personality are the same, no matter where you put them. How will someone who never experienced anything react when he starts to experience everything?
This was a straight-forward, male/male romance story of an abused human omega sold and rescued by an attentive, caring Alpha werewolf. It’s set in a twist on an “omegaverse” universe where male Alphas knot and impregnate Omegas. The plot was simple, following the omega from abuse to life and love in a new pack. The theme of rescue was fine, but the characters were a bit flat. While the chemistry between them had some sizzle overall it wasn’t particularly enticing to me.
When he came back to himself, the camp was in sight. Of course, his instincts would lead him back home, he thought bitterly, slowing to a walk. But was there really any safety for him now? He couldn’t imagine what they would say when they saw him now. Would they cast him out of the tribe completely?
He was now sweating freely and desperately just wanted it out so he could give birth to his third and be done. But as he continued to push through each contraction and the egg bulged his anus further, his third baby was inching it’s way down his birth canal. “Please, don’t…!” He gasped, his grip on the rocks white knuckled now.
Sam and Dean go grocery shopping with their kids in tow, they think it’ll be a quick trip. Easier said than done, especially when one’s a baby and the other’s a toddler hopped up on sugar. The boys will have their hands full. Wincest, Post-Mpreg.
This would be one hell of a night. He held his breath as Akatora reached around him and made the hand seals to teleporting them all away, and the other two men made hand seals to follow. With Naruto making the first loud moan he would make that night, they were gone.
“Shh, it’s ok, you’re doing great. Just a little bit and we can meet our baby. Don’t you want to meet him? It won’t be long now I promise.” Jared peppered his face with soft kisses and wiped at the sweat.
I did some research since it thoroughly confused me. What I found was this reply to an anon question by johnlocktentacles: “I guess the biggest problem for me, personally, is that there are a lot of folks out there who just loooove to read and write omegaverse fics, but won’t give fics with trans characters the time of day, and that’s shitty. If you go search for johnlock omegaverse fics, you’ll find plenty of reading options, but if you search for johnlock fics where one or both of them is trans, you get a tiny fraction of the number of results. to me, what that says is that people want to fetishize characteristics of certain trans people without actually acknowledging that trans people exist. People would rather invent an entirely new fictional gender structure than have trans characters.”
When the mage awoke, it was just before dawn. Alvarr’s throat was on fire with thirst. His whole body ached, but no water would come to him inside the cave. He got to his legs. To his relief, they held him.
The day of his birth was somewhat of a legend in Central China; for rumours of the birth of a prophesied, beautiful, male omega descended directly from the stars above circulated all over the region. Many travelled near and far to see the babe; to even catch a glimpse of the boy. And those who guarded the babe were awarded with the highest honour in the tribe.
Damon’s the Alpha of one of the most powerful clans in the world. As a tiger shifter, he can take the form of the predator at will. With such a gift, he’s able to conquer claimed and unclaimed lands and expand his territory. With his status, wealth, and looks carved by a God, he’s a triple threat – both to men and women.
“Ok coming right up” As Jess walked back to the kitchen, Jamie felt a wave of pain. He took deep breaths. it only lasted about 15 seconds. Jamie thought it was just Braxton hicks contractions, but a few minutes later he felt another rush of pain. This time it was more intense. When Jess came back with some egg and toast, Jamie felt another whoosh of pain. He didn’t want to tell Jess, because he didn’t think it was a big deal. Jess saw the look in her husbands eyes and knew something was wrong.

With all the groundwork and research Leta Blake did, I really think this should be a series. For one, I must find out what happens with Xan. He’s one of those characters that you love even when he makes you mad. I would like to see a change in omega rights. There is so much potential here for a beautiful series. Did I mention that I would really love a Happily Ever After for Xan?
“Dr.Fitz is going to meet you in the parking lot of the stadium, it’s obviously going to empty so nothing to worry about if you’re scared for privacy reasons. But she’ll be coming onto the bus with her equipment, by the time she has everything on I’m sure the fans will have found the bus and she won’t be able to get off the bus without anyone seeing.”
Heard is the third book in A.M. Arthur’s enjoyable omegaverse series Breaking Free. While the first two books are more directly linked as they follow brothers Braun and Kell, along with Kell’s trial for murdering his alpha, this one brings in a side character in Karter. We met Karter in the first books as a constable on the edges of the case against Kell. He starts off the series very conservative and with very clear ideas about omega roles, but being part of tha …more
What surprised me the most was how few pregnant women or women who have children actually read the genre. I thought the number would be much higher. Over 91% of our respondents have never been pregnant. Of the small number who have been (or the one respondent who is pregnant with her first child… congratulations by the way!), the reasons for finding the genre isn’t all that surprising. It’s relatable.
Ever since he’d made the decision to keep her, despite the fact that he’d been forced to have her against his will, he barely got any sleep. And his performance as a spy was suffering for it. He now got killed more often than usual and discovered more easily when disguised or cloaked. Several times both he and Sniper had been caught sleeping on the job by both enemies and allies alike. He just was not as alert as he knew he should be. His team were losing more and more battles and they’d come to resent him & Sniper for it. And it was all because of that noisy, screaming, attention seeking, pint sized brat, who insisted he get up at half past three in the morning to feed her.
Despite the 3 1/2 star, I enjoyed Saved and I do recommend it. I think part of the reason I’m not giving this story a higher rating is because I’m familiar with A.M. Arthurs’ work, and absolutely love her stories, but for me this one fell a little flat in comparison. This first book in the series is comparable to other Mpreg stories, in my experience. With A.M. Arthur though, I was expecting a bit more I guess. With that being said, I have read the second in the series, Seen, and it’s wonderful. It’s exactly what I’ve come to expect and I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend. You do need to read Saved first though as it sets the stage. That’s not to say reading Saved is a chore. Absolutely not. It was enjoyable, it just didn’t have the same heart and soul poured into it as Seen. Like Saved was written to set the stage and not so much out of a driving need to tell Braun’s story itself. I think part of my problem also was not actually the story itself, but the initial world building. I had some hang-ups about it until later in the story when things were explained a bit more clearly. That kind of threw me off for awhile. Other than that, the characters, their relationship, the events in the story, all made for a good story and I do encourage everyone to give this one a go and then go on to read Seen which I really really liked 🙂
