Another book I needed to finish, and I’m glad I finally did because it, too, was one I needed reminding of – that there are decent people out there working for the collective good of those oppressed, discriminated against and abused…simply because it’s the right thing to do. Even if this is fiction set in an alternate universe/future timeline.
“(…) I also like the changes in power dynamics in pairings and how characters sometimes can be written as accepting of them and sometimes resist them. I mostly read Omegaverse in the Sherlock fandom and either Sherlock or John (both very strong, dominant characters) resisting the social and sometimes the physical stereotypes of the Omega is one of my favorite type of story.” (Ishtar, female, straight, 50+, USA)
Thirty-five-year-old Kate Bowler was a professor at the school of divinity at Duke, and had finally had a baby with her childhood sweetheart after years of trying, when she began to feel jabbing pains in her stomach. She lost 30 pounds, chugged antacid, and visited doctors for three months before she was finally diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. As she navigates the aftermath of her diagnosis, Kate pulls the listener deeply into her life, which is populated with a colorful, often hilarious collection of friends, pastors, parents, and doctors.
I’ve never watched these reality shows, they’re not my thing tbh, but they’re undeniably and awesome premise for a fic, and this one really does the concept justice by putting meat on the bones and taking enough time over it to make it feel like a proper story, not just a precursor to Sterek getting together. I followed this as a WIP and read each part as soon as it came in because I was enjoying it so much. Good stuff.
He swore he could hear Eren mentally cursing him, and wiped his tears away with his free arm. This totally wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. Watching their second pup slide free, his hair, ears and tail were brown like Eli’s. Two boys, God. How lucky could he be? Tearing off another strip of fabric, he tied the cord like he’d done the first time and Eren slumped sideways, while the afterbirth was expelled from his body. Much like his brother, the pup in his hold let out a small cry
With Summer going strong, many parents-to-be were getting ready to bring their new bundles of joy into the world. It was always the busiest in the Summer months for OB/GYN’s. But one special clinic was especially busy, and they catered to only ‘daddies’ whom were expecting their babies.
Sweet, steamy, quite funny, and very Christmasy! I loved Tobias and found his need for a keeper endearing. His feisty personality leads to some very humorous moments (wait til you get to the eggs!). Malcolm is the protective and organized guy that everyone wishes they had, running interference with coworkers, jilted dates, and family alike. These two work together for years before one turning point clues them in that they have great potential to be something more. Of course in this world omegas often get treated as lesser people and the company has a strict no fraternization policy to boot. What to do? In addition to these relationship strains, Tobias finds himself flooded with family for Christmas, turning his nice solitary life upside down. I loved all the Christmas touches and fun traditions that Tobias’s family followed. I also really enjoyed the family themselves–especially the sister and the fun bits with the niece. This was just one of those fun reads that you might read on KU but will wind up buying to be sure it’s always available for a holiday and romantic (steamy too!) read anytime of the year.
Ciel screams out as he holds his knees and bears his chin down to his chest,Straining and panting. His face hot with sweat and exertion,He can’t help but scream out at the seering, tearing pain he feels. He’s sure he’s going to be ripped open,or worse, ripped completely in half. He lets out a panicked breath as he stops pushing, and he grabs hold of the curtain behind his bed and holds on tightly,Nearly ripping it from the window as he bears down again against the enormous pressure in his anus. Before long,He begins to feel the ring of fire and he gulps in a mixture of fear and pain.

Something was… off. Tony couldn’t really say what it was but something just didn’t seem right, aside from all the Alien God, Magic, Voodoo, crater thing. “Run a full diagnostic” What’s he looking for? He should really be calling for back up, but something was odd and his curiosity got the better of him. “Compare his current magic readings with S.H.I.E.L.D.’s database and our own.” Did he want to alert SHIELD of Loki’s reappearance? Why wouldn’t he? “Do it subtly, gotta check a few things before the Angry Pirate gets his hook on him”
For example, on several occasions the omega did something the alpha would likely find very questionable and/or dangerous. When the alpha discovers the omega’s questionable activity, he simply asks the omega who immediately explains it away truthfully. The alpha immediately moves on, even though that level of deep trust between the characters really had not really been established. These were opportunities for some drama and intrigue, or at the very least building some real emotional and relationship ties between two characters who lusted after each other, saw some very good in one another, but also had every reason to distrust their prospective partner. Repeatedly flying through huge potential conflicting issues with a quick, trusting sentence or two just made whole aspects of the plot and relationship rather flat and unappealing.

Mpreg SchoolA pregnant male named Dillan was abandoned by his partner when they found out the news. He was 7 months pregnant and was a school teacher. They allowed him to work there since he was very intelligent. He teaches first graders. The first graders didn’t know why he had a big belly but they just liked to play with it. Students would often rub his belly and hum a tune to his baby. He was quite young and he only became a teacher for a year. He taught social studies when he heard a new teacher came to his class to help him. She was like a student teacher but already qualified to be a teacher. Her name was Fern Ballis. She had straight brown hair, tall, glittering eyes. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. They worked together and enjoyed the times. She knew he was pregnant but she didn’t care. She fell in love with Dillan and they started dating. They would visit each other even out of school. He soon became 9 months. It was harder for him to walk around and help students so Fe
Joey Wheeler is fresh out of luck. Fired from the local newspaper, no prospects to speak of and a girlfriend hounding him for a marriage proposal—despite her previous infidelity—Joey should be thrilled at landing a job as billionaire rancher Austin Birch’s assistant; a nepotistic acquisition through Joey’s best friend, and Austin’s fiancé, Crystal.
“Shh, it’s ok, you’re doing great. Just a little bit more and we can meet our baby. Don’t you want to meet him? It won’t be long now I promise.” Jared peppered his face with soft kisses and wiped at the sweat.
My issue with this story is how it was presented. It’s noted here on Amazon that it’s over 500 pages. Obviously this is completely false. I finished this story in about an hour so I’d say it was under 100 pages. Now I realize the page length on any blurb is up to Amazon getting it right but who’s at fault here, especially when it holds another story. Nothing in the blurb about another story following this one, but I wanted to finish what wasn’t written about Rocco and Kade. I wondered if Kade was now shifting and being more familiar with his wolf. I also wondered what Rocco did in his spare time besides fix up the house and care for the dogs. Is he a house husband? There’s no mention of schooling, training, or what he’ll do outside his pack structure. I pictured Kade working himself to the bone with a job and heavy volunteer work and Rocco sitting around. And I never understood why a pack wolf would fight for leadership when it wasn’t Rocco’s to give. That whole thing came off as a vendetta against Rocco and I kept expecting this defeated wolf to pop up and harass Kade. So yes, the story was short and unfulfilling. It was okay, I wanted more. 3 stars. – Dan’s Wife
Spy by this point, had taken to lying on his side. He breathed into the mask. But still, the gas and air did little to alleviate the pain. If anything, it only made him feel woozy and nauseous. He felt another contraction begin. Now they were really strong and coming just minutes apart. Spy breathed in the gas and air, but when the contraction reached its peak, he let out an anguished cry.
“You think I’ll massacre a bunch of sick people in a hospital? No, no, I might go after the newborn babies and eat them for fucking dinner!” Castiel stood up and let his grace flow through him, making his eyes glow white blue. Just as Dean was about to stand Sam gave the loudest scream yet that it seemed to echo all through the bunker. Both angel and demon paused and then their attention was on the man in labor again.
Yeah, I know about that date thing. I didn’t really feel I needed to do it though because I add a link to the fanfic archive to every new post. I don’t know. If you guys don’t like that, I can change it.
But you know what? I get and understand mpreg even if some readers don’t. It’s why I include it in my novels. Believe it or not, there are times I start out writing and tell myself that this one will not have mpreg. But in the middle or the end of writing, my muse, plot bunny or whatever is my inspiration throws me into that direction. Think of it this way werewolves, vampires, and any other mythical creature aren’t real. But we love reading and thinking about the possibility of them being real one day in the past, present or future. Like I always tell myself every time I sit down and write a story. Fiction is just that fiction and so is mpreg.
It all depends on the setting of the story and how cruel or nice the Alpha could be. The Omega may build a nest in a closet or small room to mate there. They may even mate in public places or in a car or something. It really all depends on what you are writing or where you are at in the story.
He’d been woken up for the third time that night. Groaning, he dragged himself out of bed, then dragged his feet over to the crib where his daughter lay. He was now regretting making the decision to keep her.
Adam couldn’t believe he was on his own watching as the man left going to head to sleep. Hoping there wouldn’t be too many big ones he would birth, Adam knew having birthed a bunch so far, he could do it as the man had turned him so the eggs would roll out of the way for the others.
Thematically, pregnancy can be similar to the issues of parasitism and gender. Some science fiction writers have picked up on these issues, in “cross-gender” themes—e.g., Octavia E. Butler’s Bloodchild and Other Stories.[clarification needed] Ursula K. Le Guin’s novel The Left Hand of Darkness contains the sentence “The king was pregnant”, and explores a society in which pregnancy can be experienced by anyone, since individuals are not sexually differentiated during most of their life and can become capable of inseminating or gestating at different times. Lois McMaster Bujold’s Ethan of Athos features an all-male society in which men use artificial wombs, but experience many of the psychological effects of pregnancy (anticipation, anxiety, etc.). In Marge Piercy’s feminist utopian novel Woman on Edge of Time, neither men nor women get pregnant, leaving that to artificial wombs, but both sexes may lactate and nurse the infant; the specifically female experiences of pregnancy and nursing were opened to men in the cause of gender equality.
As the weeks went by, Chris’ belly got larger and larger, but he was never uncomfortable. His skin seemed to grow quickly enough to avoid stretch-marks or unpleasantness, but the baby inside seemed much lighter than it would seem, considering its size. At two weeks, Christopher’s stomach was the size of a small beach ball, and he held it before him as if it were one, filled with not much more than air.
One of the two men was Kakashi, his former sensei and an alpha in his prime, leaning against the wall with his orange book in his hand. Not that he was really reading it, not at all, he was watching the young blonde with the fox mask who was practically drooling over him and the other alpha named Akatora, his long time friend and team mate. Akatora was eating his food, having his tiger mask on the side of his head, but when his eyes meet Kakashi’s, the man knew that the other was as aware of the fox watching them as he was. They were both aware of the smell of omega pheromones in the room, a sweet and thick smell that told them that Naruto had started a heat cycle.
Is it ever possible to rip happiness from disaster?Jude Now I’m out of the military, I want a quiet life. A nearby forest where my wolf can run and hunt, and a wood-shop where I can work with the timber I feel an affinity for. I definitely don’t want a mate. And if I did, it wouldn&…
Alphas would most likely carry their doll everywhere with them, growling at anyone who threatened to touch it or even come too close to it. The protectiveness of the doll shows that they are a possible Alpha. Of course, they would leave the doll aside when the time to fight came.
Namjoon agrees. “Jeon Jungkook was small and meek. Everyone was surprised when we heard he was sent away for the initiation ritual because he wasn’t strong enough to be a threat to Head Alpha Jeon so why send him away?”
