The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio’s back lot – searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.
Dean knew it was going to hurt and he didn’t want to hurt the child. He turned his eyes to the other archangels in the room for help and all three of them instantly straightened out to take the child.
“This sounds so weak- ‘I read playboy for the articles’ – but I really am most into the world building and reimagination of gender and society. Some of my fave a/o is teen rated. I love the idea of having more male characters who have uteruses- as many transmen do in reality- and of playing with our gendered perceptions and expectations about characters and narrative and history.” (Bekah, nonbinary, she/her, queer, 18-25, USA)
So female Alphas and male Omegas have flat chests, but can grow breasts to lactate for children? What are the breasts of female Omegas like? You mentioned Omegas are usually frail and small. Does this mean female Omegas are flat and stay flat even during breastfeeding because of their frailty, or are female Omegas usually well-endowed because of their nurturing nature and childbearing role?
”WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!!!! I will fucking kill you for this you mark my words Grell!!!!!!!” Sebastian screams out before grabbing his white gloves off the table and smacking Grell across the cheek with them. Grell ignores it and gently rubs Sebastian’s stomach,Soothing it only a little as Sebastian begins bearing down again. He grunts as the babies head finally crowns with a gush of fluid and blood into his undergarments and trousers.
Story connected to The Feather Effect. Includes all angels and archangels. Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, Balthazar, Castiel, Dean, Sam, Bobby, Crowley etc. *Sabriel *Destiel. An Mpreg story but in my own way… soul/grace pregnancy and eventual Angel!Dean. They think he is just addicted to grace…but it is so much more.
So then he kinda panics once it hits him that Prom is going to have this baby. He rushes to grab the bags and take them to the car. He does the typical person in labor thing and is ready to drive off but forgets Prompto at home. Prompto is 10000% done at this point. But he is going through the motions quicker than what he thought so he doesn’t have time to get angry because that baby is coming asap.
Dean kept worrying. Thankfully, after an hour Sam fell into a light sleep. Good, he could up his strength to push later. Dean couldn’t wait for the baby to be born. Was it a boy, a girl? He was actually excited and his demonic side was…quiet. With it being so silent he felt like shit for going after Sam and nearly killing him…him and their unborn child. If he had succeeded, if Cas hadn’t shown up on time…no he wouldn’t think that. Sam kept whimpering softly in his sleep and Dean stroke his hair while shushing him.

What is important to Sam is Dean—or rather the memory and idea of Dean. He’s not really sure. Dean though, he’s been the one glaring constant throughout Sam’s life. Dean, who sometimes looks at him like he thinks about cutting his head off—he’s said as much anyway. Dean who looks at him like he’s… he’s… hmm. Sam has to pause in his thoughts to think of the correct word. There it is: Dean looks at him like he’s sad to see Sam the way he is now.
Rocco Shore is an Alpha shifter living in the wild with his pack. He is in a meaningless relationship with Skye and wants to break it off. He knows Skye is only with him because after his father Thor, who is seriously ill, dies, he will become the pack Alpha. Rocca knows that his hold as Alpha will be at risk from being challenged by Jarvis unless he takes a mate and Skye will never be that mate.
As the next contraction hit, Adam felt it was one of the strongest he had as his body was pushing not only this egg out, but the other eggs behind it. Unable to help himself, Adam screamed, “Nnnnnghhhhh….gawd…….come out….” Adam grabbed onto the bed with one hand, while the other touched the egg, as he tried to pull it out.
“I’m AFAB genderqueer, and I’ve always been incredibly uncomfortable with pregnancy and childbirth, to the point of feeling ill at ease around pregnant women and young babies, because so much of female gender and the idea of womanhood is wrapped up in pregnancy/motherhood, and the reverse as well, a pregnant body at this point in my culture will inevitably signify “female” to outsiders. As I get into the tail end of my potential reproductive years and start to reexamine my childfree-by-choice status, MPREG gives me an alternative POV, where reproduction is divorced from binary sex, some men have babies, some women have babies, some men impregnate, some women impregnate. I’ve seen criticism of MPREG saying “Why not just write trans characters instead” but for me that misses the point, trans people have babies right now, and that’s awesome and makes me super happy, but MPREG is like good sci fi, it’s utopian possibility, sex as irrelevant, gender as expression.” -Jay
I Put a Spell on You (Because You’re Mine) a Supernatural story by estrella30. She describes it as “schmoopy mpreg-wingfic-incest fic”, or in other words, a deliberate attempt to write crackfic and still make people like it. (2006)
That is what I loved so much, that it’s not a quick read, there is background and we get to know these character. Starting with Braun, you can see the fear he has lived his entire life, and why he doesn’t want anything to do with finding an alpha. Oh my heart ached for this, so much. As an omega, he has been told his whole life he is a second class citizen, so easily thrown out like garbage. You can really see the parallels to this in real life and I think that is why my heart broke as it did. Because this actually happens today in our world.
As has become evident, Omegaverse can be both subversive as well as sexist/transphobic/homophobic at the same time. While it is understandable that some declare the genre “abhorrent” as a whole, a more differentiated view on this provides considerably more insight to the underlying discourses that fanfiction brings to the fore. It all hinges on several aspects – the fic in question, the reader’s attitude, etc. – so I urge everyone to consider this issue from multiple perspectives so you can draw a well-informed conclusion for yourself.
The strange thing was that besides Becca, nobody seemed to notice or care about his rotundity. Life went on as normally as it ever had. Chris woke up every day feeling ecstatic, and everything seemed to go right for him.
Comments? Suggestions? Have you written/read an mpreg fic that isn’t on the list? Feel free to leave a comment on this post or, if there is an error on a character post, on the post in question. If the fic you’re linking to is in a language other than English or French, please include a short summary of its major features (pregnant character/s, warnings, kinks, etc.) so that I can categorise it properly.
But when ‘Saved’ was free on Amazon, I grabbed it. Hey, free and a new to me author, of course I grabbed it. The same day I got it we were talking about what to read for our out of comfort zone week, and Eloreen mentioned it was mpreg. I figured now was the perfect time to read my very first Omegaverse book. But it wasn’t just the mpreg that was out of my comfort zone, it also has abuse, physical, sexual and emotional. I just really do not like reading books with abuse, but I have to say that A.M. handled it very well.
Nine months after breeding season has ended for the nagas and several heavily pregnant nagas – male and female – could be seen moving about their territory. Many have already laid their eggs while others are still heavy with their unborn brood. As a young, mateless king, this is Adonis’s favorite time of the year, when so many nagas are heavy with eggs and babies.
“The fact that fans revert back to heteronormative plot lines despite a queered text only serves to demonstrate how powerful the reining hegemonic norms are and how deeply the male/female binary along with all its historically grown inequalities permeates the attitudes of every single person in societies socialised by Western/American mainstream media.” Taking a genre like Omegaverse that has the potential to subvert, as many fics prove, and re-inscribing it with unequal gender dynamics, etc, is not exclusively ‘bad’. “Instead, such a ‘subversion of the subversion’ exposes the societal mechanism for what they are, and exemplifies just how deep heteronormativity undermines our everyday lives.”
That had been about a week ago, and despite several antsy calls from Rhys the doctor had still recommended to wait and spend most of the days eating and sleeping and indulging in his instinctual needs. Which seemed to be doing in spades.
Male pregnancy, or Mpreg, is a plot type mostly found within the Paranormal or the Science Fiction genres. It is also common to tie into the M/M Romance genre, since intimacy and/or romantic relationships between men is often part of the Mpreg story.
Emerging Secret (Mpreg) Chapter 1 Part 1 Jim sat at his desk quietly. He felt the baby move down under the edge of the desk; she was getting so big. He was getting so big. He was 8 and a half months along, but she had dropped a few weeks prior. It had been hard hiding such a noticeable secret, especially a secret that gets bigger as time goes by. Jim wriggled around at his desk subtly, trying to maneuver himself at the desk so his bulge wouldn’t be pressing against the edge of the wood. It didn’t help.
Clutching his swollen stomach, he panted and sat up, looking down at his legs as he spread them where he lay. “Please let me have them before I die…! Let them live at least!” He closed his eyes with a silent sob.
Not all respondents concede that this depends on the fic. K (they/them, gay, 15-18, USA) dislikes A/B/O “because it seems to just be a way to squish queer characters into het gender roles. The fact that everyone is is assigned a ‘position ‘ (omega, alpha or beta) is very similar to the everyone irl is assigned a gender.” They acknowledge that “this could lead to allegorical critsisms of the construct of gender in our culture, but those kinds of fics are few and far between, and for the most part people stick to the very hetero-cis-normative gender roles associated with the different positions, and they get very boring and formulaic after a while.”
The method of how the characters healed and resolved these strains was not as gripping as I would have liked – it seemed a bit too expository more than riveting, although the basic actions and ideas in the resolution were certainly somewhat novel and compelling.
Mr. Storm gives Rowan another delivery but it’s a set up. The police ask Rowan to help get evidence on Mr. Storm what they don’t know he is an expert at knife throwing which results in the death of three officers. Derrick and Rowan are expecting, Rowan is giving up his life of crime, Mr. Storm attacks, Rowan is hurt, and Derrick saves the day. Rowan is a hero, Mr. Storm’s drug business is shut down, Derrick has the mate and child he always dreamed of, and Rowan is ready to be a father.
Then once they were deployed tensions became greater because Colin had contacts with locals who provided information that countered orders received from Naval command. Just who did that effing Reporter think he was?! Why should he be believed especially considering the source of the information. His friendship with a former lover and international Reporter, Mansur made Colin’s Seal “friend” extremely angry and jealous. But was it enough to cross that thick red line drawn back in the states made worse by the articles he published prior to deployment?
He groaned in pain but nodded and started to push again, his stomach painfully contracting to push his babies out. His mate took one of his hands in her own and he squeezed her hand as he bore down hard, groaning loudly while the egg pushed out a little further along with the baby’s head crowning even more.
This is a good transition to the fundamental question my participants debated, namely whether Omegaverse is sexist/homo-/transphobic, or actually subversive and an incredibly reflective commentary on society…
Dyadic human males do not have the anatomy needed for natural embryonic and fetal development. The theoretical issue of male ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the uterine cavity) by implantation in biological males has been addressed by experts in the field of fertility medicine, who stress that the concept of ectopic implantation, while theoretically plausible, has never been attempted and would be difficult to justify – even for women lacking a uterus – owing to the extreme health risks to both the parent and child.
