Thematically, pregnancy can be similar to the issues of parasitism and gender. Some science fiction writers have picked up on these issues, in “cross-gender” themes—e.g., Octavia E. Butler’s Bloodchild and Other Stories.[clarification needed] Ursula K. Le Guin’s novel The Left Hand of Darkness contains the sentence “The king was pregnant”, and explores a society in which pregnancy can be experienced by anyone, since individuals are not sexually differentiated during most of their life and can become capable of inseminating or gestating at different times. Lois McMaster Bujold’s Ethan of Athos features an all-male society in which men use artificial wombs, but experience many of the psychological effects of pregnancy (anticipation, anxiety, etc.). In Marge Piercy’s feminist utopian novel Woman on the Edge of Time, neither men nor women get pregnant, leaving that to artificial wombs, but both sexes may lactate and nurse the infant; the specifically female experiences of pregnancy and nursing were opened to men in the cause of gender equality.
Rocco Shores alpha father is dying, and tells him on his deathbed that he must mate an omega to become the new alpha of the pack. Rocco is dating Skye, but breaks up with him because he’s a boring, self centered omega, who only wants the position as his glorified mate. Rocco wants a true mate he can love. Rocco’ s sister Luna, convinces him to find his mate on internet service Omega Date. Kade Sinclair is a city omega who’s overworked with a day job, and working evenings at an animal shelter. At home he’s the devoted owner of 3 rescue dogs he loves. Rocco and Kade meet, realize they are fated mates, and fall in love (the sex is hot and steamy also). Not to spoil the story, but Skye, still wanting to be Rocco’ s mate, drops a bomb shell, devastating Kade. Jarvis issues a fighting challenge to Rocco for alpha leadership. Rocco is trying to determine if he even wants to be Alpha. Kade and Rocco have many decisions to ponder for their future in this fast paced, well written book, with characters clearly defined.
Consequently, when the possibly highly romantic trope of bonding is drained of its consensual nature, it can become a squick, as is the case for Mae (female, asexual, demiromantic, 15-18, USA): “Forced Bondings are the literal worse. The concept of heats, I can stomach. Knotting? Great. Mpreg? Even better. But I typically refuse to read fics, even for my OTPs, if one of them is forced into the bond. It’s a little different for arranged bondings between families where they rebel together and manage to fall for one another in the process, but full-on forced bonding is a no-go.”
I love this so much. ❤️ Does Ben suddenly feel like Kylo again, remembering the conversation he and Hux had had about baby names if they were ever lucky enough to conceive one? Does he go back out to General Organa who says that Hux is too important to the First Order to not know their secrets so she tells Ben that he has her permission to use other methods to get information from Hux? Does Ben stay awake all night thinking about the pain that he’s got to cause Hux, but he shouldn’t care because Kylo Ren is dead and he was in love with Hux, not Ben? Does Ben go to Hux the next morning (who’s had another round of beatings and is bruised all over) and probes his mind for information but instead finds memories of Hux and his daughter? His entire pregnancy, alone, the terrible and traumatic birth where they both nearly died, her first words and her first steps, her first use of the Force and Snoke telling Hux that she’ll be a great asset, just like her father was? Does Ben come out of the probe to find that he and Hux are crying and all Ben wants to do is take Hux and leave? TELL ME! ❤️
The book is very good, liked that either one was sure what was going to happen only that a baby was made and now they had to work on what to do now and one had a hard time in believing any of it was true that where the fun comes in, how they get to love one an other, want more of her books
He rolled back and forth, from his left side to his back, then his right side, and rolling back onto his back. He curled and arched his body, crying out and screaming as the pain assaulted him still. Nothing he did was easing his pain away, in fact it just got worse with each passing one.
I look down again and see everything has loaded and the bars have gone up slightly. I scroll through all the article titles eagerly, hoping there’s nothing out about it yet. After checking the whole page up and down twice, I let out a sigh of relief and switch off my phone, then setting it beside my plate carefully.
‘Home’ is a small house in a neighborhood that never changes, where the weather is always sunny and there’s no need to buy groceries, mow the grass or pay the bills. ‘Home’ is a place where Sam can return to and be the old Sam, not the King of Hell.‘Home’ is where Dean lives.A place created by Sam, a golden cage in Hell, but their home nonetheless.

Amy’s Story – part 1Amy laid back as the contractions worsened. She could feel the baby moving down into her hips and moaned in pain. Leshia was there to help her, but it was somewhat of an embarrassment. Amy barely felt female at all on the inside, and if it wasn’t for that witch’s gender spell, she would never had been pregnant in the first place. As far as she was concerned, the only thing that made her predicament acceptable was that she had female genitalia.
I can understand the hesitancy of reading if this trope is new to you, it was brand new for me. But I can say I highly recommend it. I will definitely be seeking more of this type of universe, both from this author and others.
Spy pressed the mask to his face and the gas and air was turned on. He breathed in the nitrous oxide, taking quick deep breaths. But he still felt the same amount of pain, not more so than he did before.
3. Post Tenebrus Lux by Cjblack: It had been five years since the light had fallen under the Dark Lord’s reign. The Wizarding World assumed Harry Potter had been murdered by Voldemort days after his capture; few knew the truth. And sometimes the truth can be much, much worse. *** Mpreg. Angst-a-plenty which is right up my alley. And so heart-wrenchingly romantic. This is one of the best stories that I’ve read in a long time. If a story is able to make me feel something, then it’s good. I was feeling all over the place.
“I guess I just never found the right mate. The idea of fledglings always appealed to me, but I never found the right alpha – those are the angels who sire the fledgling – and so I never had the chance. If I’m being honest, fledglings have been my main wish, but I didn’t want to deal with a mate I barely tolerated for the sake of offsprings.”
